A charge that the hotel blocks with the insulting explanation that it is a charge for "possible service or damage" you cause as a guest. It is something that will raise your eyebrows and you will definitely not feel like a welcome guest. There was some confusion in the credit card blocks when checking out. At one point, even four different amounts were blocked, which did not make sense and greatly exceeded the price of our accommodation and the services we used during our stay. In the end, the hotel corrected everything and released the illegally blocked amounts. However, this inconvenience meant a week of intensive e-mail communication with the hotel.

The hotel itself is in a good location, we had a river view room which was nice and the view is really nice. The hotel was clean, the beds comfortable. The bathroom is more about design than functionality, but it's basically serviceable. Breakfast ok, rather average, but you can certainly choose. We had breakfast at the hotel only once, there are many nice cafes and restaurants around the hotel. The services, skills and training of the staff correspond to a hotel of a lower category than what the hotel declares.

There was no air-conditioning so our room was very warm, especially during the day. Would have given them a Rating 10 if it wasn't for the fact that the temperature of the room was uncomfortable. When we spoke with the team on check in, they told us there's a problem with the compressor and it would be fixed. Of course, it was not fixed until we checked out 3 nights later!

Awesome location and amazing staff! Heritage Bar was a lovely experience and Sidney Fernandes took great care of us and was very attentive. Would definitely recommend this property

IT check in was long and booking details seemed to be incorrect until changed by reception. The placing of 300 euro on credit card seemed excessive and at writing it has not been refunded. Room key did not work so had to go down and get another set. Do not believe this is a 5* hotel. The Senior staff member in the Restaurant looked untidy whilst the waiting staff were smart enough. Food was good but not exceptional.

The buffet breakfast was poor for a vegan, and it cost €43! All I could eat was cereal, a pot of houmus & guacamole and a banana. There shoudl be a different price when options are that restricted. Most expensive bowl of muesli I've ever had.

Inpersonal and formal people at reception, very slow process to check in and out. The property has a restaurant but did not at any point in one of their emails to me pre- arrival, communicate that we should make a reservation. So when we wanted to book, we were told it was too late. I asked them to reconsider or arrange something as we were not informed even at check in and to ask the manager to call me back, but they never did. In the end the next day I saw a message that I could co tact the manager at reception … Nothing was done at any time to apologize. I found in the bathroom that one of the supplies was missing, I phoned for it, housekeeping brought a different one, then replaced the right one and the next day another thing ran out, housekeeping is not checking when they clean clearly. We rented bikes, we received keys from a lady at reception and were sent outside to where the bikes were. It turned out we received a key to a bike which was not there and when we went back, a gentleman at reception quite unkindly almost scolded us, that we were kind of stupid to look for bikes outside since he said all bikes were in the basement. It was not true, bikes were outside and no one informed us either. So all in all, while the location is great and all the facilities you would expect at a hotel for this price are in place, the overall experience as a guest was not great, largely due to cold and impersonal approach by the staff at reception.

It was very cold in the rooms. We arrived in late November and the temperature was 19-20 degrees maximum. Loud central air conditioning but with no results.

There are not many varieties in the breakfast, but the food is good.

The restaurant view is fantastic. I loved to start my day with the lake view. The location is amazing close to shops and the shopping mall.

no drinks at the pool, breakfast was expensive but there are a lot of breakfast cafes nearby (make sure to book), location was a bit out of the action but near to central train station
