Even though they have a 24h reception, if you arrive after closing you need to press a bell which connects to the owners mobile phone. When we arrived the forwarding wasn't enabled and we couldn't enter the hotel.. We had to go and sleep somewhere else.

The hotel was friendly enough to waive the no-show fee when we arrived and noone opened the door.

We had a large room on the second floor, directly under the roof. The room was so hot that none of the four of us were able to sleep more that 2-3 hours. The corridor was very cool as it was air conditioned. These rooms in the second floor, or at least room 27, badly needs an air conditioner. Too bad we could not sleep, as otherwise the room was very clean and very well equipped.

Nothing about the hotel except a slight problem finding the correct building!

This is a small typical German hotel but probably the heart of the village as it has a large function room. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Portions were very generous and the food good quality. We had no trouble parking.

Although the hotel is located in a nice overall setting, there was a significant amount of construction (for either road repair or replacing underground pipes). so the immediate surroundings were not as pleasant as otherwise expected.

We had a lovely stay. The room was superb, and the staff was wonderful, especially during breakfast.

The picture at the entrance door shoes a pool that I couldn't find at the hotel. The hotel descriptiom on Booking.com doesn't mention a pool and I think there is none. Thus, the picture confused me. It isn't a cheap stay, but this might be to due to post-Covid - now the hotels have to charge more because they need to follow special rules and they also might have to charge a little to make up for the loss of the "lost months".

I shared a triple room with the kids. It was very nice and clean. Best of all, there was a table and enough chairs to spend the evening with board games together. Great breakfast in a beautiful room. Dinner was served very kid-friendly too. Very family friendly. The staff is great and you immediately feel at home. Even though I was the only person with kids, I felt very welcome. Very central in Schlüsselfeld, easy to walk everywhere. Easy to reach via motorway, yet gar enough from the motorway so that you can't hear it. Very quiet.

We came off the Autobahn late, after a lot of traffic jams and roadworks. What we found at Am Storch was decent food, friendly staff, nice beers and a perfect location in a lovely little town. Ideal for a short stayover on our way to Austria, but also well recommended for a longer vacation. The family room we had was extraordinary, spacious, clean, a bit luxurious even. Small downside was the fact that the chimes of the local church woke us up at 7 am (on a Saturday!) but we were going to continue our trip in the morning anyway. Breakfast was fantastic! We’ll come back here for sure.

Even the hotel is located in a village near the highway, we did not hear any noise in our room. the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom very clean. We had WIFI and a huge TV. The personnel was super friendly, and quick. There is a Restaurant as well, where we had a delicious dinner with good wine at a reasonable price. We will for sure book this hotel again, as there are nice historical places near by, which we did not have the time to visit now, but want to in the future.
