Stylish and quiet room in a separate building of the Mittermeiers hotel. We liked the concept of the rooms and the do-it-yourself bar and breakfast area. The position is ideal for visiting the center on foot. Note that there is no elevator in this building.

There is no elevators, so be ready to carry your luggage up (my room was up 2 flight of stairs)!!! That wasn't fun Room sealing had cobwebs.

The room was spacious and floor heated. i like the communal kitchen even though the one night we spend there there was a big group cooking and having dinner and we were barely able to heat some soup for our dinner and had to take up in our room because there was no space down. I still loved all the facilities provided!

1. The room was cold and the air conditioner can only change up to 24 degree Celsius. 2. No body lotion and hair conditioner. 3. We are room no.2 and the shower place was easy to spill water all over the place when you shower. 4. The hair dryer was down and couldn’t be used for minutes after you use it 3-4 minutes.

1. Location is great. Very convenient and close to the old town. 2. Clean and modern. The public space is cozy and there are free coffee, tea and milk. It’s good to come with friend and enjoy the stay.

I'm not a big fan of bathrooms that lack privacy, even though this seems to be becoming the standard everywhere.

Could be a better desk space in the room I was in for working on a laptop or a wifi that is not limited to the room so that one can work in the communal space.

Good location just outside the old city walls. Best sized shower I've ever seen! No one really needs all that space but it was a great experience. Communal kitchen is a nice idea too. Surprised there are people who really use the oven, pots and pans as the sink was filled in the morning but they are cleaned out daily. I booked the hotel based on the photos and it was accurate. Beautiful property.

You can tell this is a different class of hotel the moment you set foot into it. The receptionist (Sascha) was radiating positive energy from the beginning. Everything is super stylish and well designed. The breakfast was by far one of the best ones I’ve ever had in a hotel. Chapeau

Bed was sloped to sides but comfortable. But you will roll a bit to the edge if you side sleep as I do. Faucet, while looks nice blocks half of sink. No much lighting in toilet. No elevator if you do not pack light.

Loved the room. We were top floor and high ceilings. Spacious. Open bathroom not an issue for us. Kitchen very handy and everything you could need. Staff very helpful and friendly. Location is perfect. Free parking a bonus. Quiet rooms and location.

We are very happy that we chose to stay at Mittermeiers Alter Ego. The accommodation was lovely, clean and comfortable. The location was excellent. It was easy to find with space for our car and a short walk to the historic part of Rothenburg.

Fabulous location , short walk into the old town , loved the concept of a shared kitchen and the trust idea was fab , tea, coffee , water , fruit was free and then there where snacks , wine , beer and gin that you could have just by ticking a sheet and paying on checkout , fabulous idea . Felt very at home ,comfortable, nice seating area outside just a fab place . Oh and a very comfy bed .

We loved everything about this place. The building itself is stunning, the room is very nice and the fact that it’s so close to the beautiful city center is just an added bonus. We will be back.

Two small things to improve: 1. The bed & bed coveris too short, just 200cm. Had it been a bit wider, this could have solved it. 2. The hotel has succumbed to the ‘popular’ habit these days, to integrate the bathroom into the sleeping area. We know that many hotels do that these days, in an effort to be hip and ‘modern’. However, we don’t like it. There is a reason, why the bathroom is separate in most buildings, rooms, etc….

Great location right outside the Historical center of Rothenburg, modern hotel with a fantastic restaurant. The staff are ‘radiating’ this special ‘energy’ that they are doing something special and extra-ordinary at this Hotel & restaurant. We liked that very much. The team is injecting a lot of passion in what they do at Mittermeier. THe restaurant is ‘something’ else: we had a fantastic 5 course diner (you can go up to 7) with the wine recommendation of the house. We were taken care of from the moment we walked in and had a fantastic evening.
