How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I loved that the breakfast was starting really early time, which suits me. And staff was very cheerful even in that early times, Specialy Daniel helped and served perfectly.

Dont expect too much from the room. There is no wardrobe or hanger for a small luggage, you have to keep all your clothes in it and use them from there.. The bathroom was ok ..
I love the Bar.. And also transportation was great, so central location. Check in and out procedures was so easy..

since I am mostly there on business maybe include a folding desk where one can work with a laptop in the room. I wake up early and would love to do some work before hitting the road. one thing missing at the breakfast room was lemons (fresh lemons sliced) and eggs were not warm. otherwise 100/100 points
Room altough in a busy area very sound proof . Breakfast i was amazed by the service staff . very efficient and have an eye on everything Reception staff always helpful and go that extra mile to assist

No nuts at the breakfast buffet. No information how to contact reception (from the room). No emergency exit plan on back of door (or did I just not notice it)?
Everything was wonderful! The personnel were friendly and professional. The hotel is beautiful. I love the beds! The breakfast room on the 10th floor is sooo much better than on the ground floor. =)

The room was too hot and the temperature controller was not working properly. We have informed the reception which they offered to send a technician that never showed up. Apart this inconvenience the hotel is clean and in a great location. Highly recommended.

Everything was nice!
Location was excellent. Staff was nice and polite. Room was tidy and quiet. We lived at 14th floor, nice views. Breakfast was fresh, good, but nothing spesial. We can recommend this hotel to anyone..

The room was uncomfortably hot at night and the air con unit appeared to be controlled centrally, it on the thermostat in the room. The bar staff were very slow and often had to be prompted for service. There also appeared to be some breakdown in communication on who was doing what and on a few occasions there seems to be friction amongst the staff. The breakfast, although nice did not feel value for money. The breakfast serving area was very small and means a long queue and the ‘two way traffic’ in the area was tight.
The reception area and decor throughout was exceptional. The reception team that greeted us were very friendly, professional, warm and welcoming. The bar area and open air roof terrace were an added bonus

The room was sort of stinky. I might be a bit picky but if there is something I can’t stand it is the bad smell of not well enough aired beds and rooms. Sorry to say that. I had to change the first room assigned. The second was better (not perfect but livable). The staff at the bar was from perfectly polite and helpful and kind to sort of arrogant or not present…maybe not in the best mood (which should not happen at a bar).

The bedroom is small, and it still has carpeting, which is something I personally dislike. Regarding breakfast, while it is very nice, I find it to be a bit expensive.
Motel One Berlin-Upper West is situated in one of the finest neighborhoods, offering convenient access to various amenities such as stores, pharmacies, malls, and numerous excellent restaurants. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located near the train, subway, and bus stations, all just around the corner. The breakfast provided at the hotel offers a wide range of options, including many vegan and vegetarian choices, catering to diverse dietary preferences. Moreover, there are options available for non-vegan guests as well.

The walls are plastered and when a door from a neighboring room closes, an earthquake effect is created. As a result, you will wake up when one of the neighbors leaves or enters the room.
The fancy building that looks like a skyscraper. Nice view from the 17th floor. Nice lobby on the 10th floor. Very clean rooms. Friendly staff. Well located near the zoologischer station.
