The property was well located to walk around Köln. I really liked the bar area as well. It was nice for relaxing. The standard room was a decent size, and the walk in shower was nice. All in all nice hotel

The rooms were very small, even though they were advertised as king size. There was no storage space at all. There is no wardrobe or drawers/shelves to place your clothes on so we lived out of our suitcases, which I hate. There was nowhere to store our suitcases, so we were constantly moving them to get around the room. The breakfast was very disappointing for the price (€15.00 per person at the time of our visit). There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

The location was great, only about a ten minute walk from the cathedral, so good for sight seeing. Great location for getting to all the Christmas markets on foot. The staff were excellent and were always very helpful. The reception staff and bar staff were always very attentive and positive in their interactions with us. The hotel and public areas were all very clean and well kept. We thought the beds were very comfortable and the ensuite was nice. The hotel was very quiet and the blackout curtains kept the room nice and dark.

This is the 3rd time we visit this hotel in the middle of Cologne close to the christmas markets. The location is very good. We love the lobby/bar!

Watertemperature of the shower fluctuated.

Great location, very clean and comfortable beds. Modern rooms. Tip: Park your car in the garage across the street for 10 euro per day instead of 22 euro per day under the hotel.

Room is small and basic. One pillow very hard and the other very soft and the duvet felt too small for the bed. I’m GF and my breakfast options were limited.

Super location, right by shopping streets, short distance to the cathedral and all the Xmas markets. Hotel lobby and bar area was fab.

...there was a low but constant wooshing noise from the ventilation system. Luckily I had earplugs so it did not affect my sleep.

The room looked clean and was overall comfortable albeit not very spacious. The furniture in the room and the bathroom fittings looked new and stylish. Fast wifi connection. Good insulation from outside noises. However...

Excellent service from reception team. Great bar area to meet and relax. Bedrooms were stylish, well sound proofed, great shower and separate duvets on the large bed meant that although I shared with a friend we had plenty of space. Rooms were very clean and bathroom products smelled lovely. Located a few minutes walk from Markt Der Engel (Christmas) which was beautiful in the night time. Also a large shopping area nearby and about a 15 min walk to the Cathedral.

If you, like me, like to sleep with the window open, make sure to ask for a room in the back or on the courtyard as the rooms in the front face a busy street. However with the window closed, perfect insolation, no noise from the outside.

You can't go wrong with Motel One - you know what you are going to get. Nice service, great breakfast and the location is perfect, easy access by public transportation or 15 minute walk from the main station.

Room are very small and do not have options for larger rooms. No phone in the room so if you need to request anything you have to go to reception. Also room was too warm and they do not have the option to reduce the heat in the room with the airconditioning during the cooler months.

The lady who checked us in was a little too concerned that the breakfast buffet did not include "warm food" like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages or hashbrowns - and forgot to tell us it was not only organic, but utterly gorgeous ! Good thing is that there were signs about their "fantastic organic breakfast buffet", which made us notice before we made other arrangements !

Amazing breakfast buffet, all organic food. The whole hotel and its organisation is designed to meet guests expectations : accessible, comfortable, stylish, quiet, friendly and safe, and with a solid dash of premium quality behind it all. Special nod to the personnel, who clearly demonstrated caring for their guests. My spouse and I have been *very* impressed !
