Very nice hotel in the heart of Lübeck. Nice breakfast in an extremely cozy ambient. The same can be said about the evening with personalized bar service. Friendly personell in general. Good value for money.

Breakfast is €16.99 and is quite basic. Same every day.

You can’t beat the location, just steps away from the town hall. The property is clean, room was a decent size, great shower. The bar area is pleasant for an afternoon drink and to sit and read.

We were on the 1st floor, which was Ok but we would have preferred a higher floor.

Breakfast was great, although the lounge chairs and tables are a little uncomfortable. The room was really nice.

Rooms are well planned but everything is at minimal level, restricted hanging space, small bathroom etc. It was only one night so fine but a longer stay would have been a challenge.

Excellent location but a pity there is no parking facility but this was clear from the beginning. Staff were friendly. All facilities we needed were available.

The ensuite was small but clean and well equipped.

Very stylish and comfortable. The location is excellent for exploring the city. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room - a Queen room although small was cleverly furnished and had everything you would need for a few nights.

The bar only accepted cash at the time that we were there, so I never had a chance to test their offerings. It would've been nice to have the opportunity! Especially considering we were able to book the rooms and pay with card, it would've been nice to be able to do the same in the bar.

Great location, very downtown and close to good shopping and restaurant areas. A 20-minute walk from the train station makes it very convenient to get to. The rooms albeit small were very nice and had good amenities.

We didn't have the breakfast, but I saw it as the breakfast is served in the lobby, and it didn't impress, confirming that we made the correct choice to go out and have breakfast in the town.

It's a stylish hotel, just by the old town square. You literally can not have better location.

A really nice and comfortable hotel in the very center of Lubeck, with nice and clean rooms and a great lounge area. Excellent alcohol-free cocktails in the bar in the evening and a nice breakfast in the morning. Pleasant staff. We came by car and although the hotel does not have a parking lot, there is a paid public garage next door which worked well for us.

Motel 1 has got expensive! It feels ironic to have a sign saying they won awards for best budget hotel when one night in a basic room without parking or breakfast is 120€...! Parking at an acceptable rate is nearby the Radisson hotel, just outside the old town, about 10 min walk way. Something to be aware of but we thought it worked out very well.

Nice decor, very cosy lobby and lounge. Easy check-in/out. Friendly staff. As always in Germany - spotlessly clean! Comfy bed, linen and temperature in the room. Quiet room. Right in the centre of Lübeck.

Not a very warm reception, just barked at for leaving our bikes locked temporarily outside while we checked it and asked where to park them. Not a good way to start the stay. Also only one coffee machine was turned on making the line excruciatingly long.

Motel One requires payment for the whole stay on arrival, which was unexpected. Rooms are a bit sparsely furnished (no desk).

Great location in the centre of town, very clean and tastefully decorated room with comfy bed. The lobby bar is a pleasant and informal space for evening drinks and the buffet breakfast.

the only problem about Motel One Lübeck was the lack of organization of the tables for breakfast. The breakfast-buffet itself was really great, with almost all food (or maybe all?) being organic (Bio) and a wide variety of lunch/cold meat, cheese, sliced vegetables, sweets, cereals, fruits. However, the eating-area was too small and people had to scatter around the lobby/lounge-area. This also caused some people in the lobby/lounge-area to use a table for 4 or 6, even though they were only 2, for example. Hence my partner and I had to wait like 15 minutes to get a table and it was quite uncomfortable having to constantly look around to see which table would probably finish soon, since the staff was not taking care of assigning people to a table.

the hotel has quite modern facilities. Room and bad room were spacious enough for two people (traveling with my partner). Location of hotel was excellent, right next to the “Marktplatz” where the city hall (Rathaus), Niederegger-Cafe and other cafes/restaurants/stores and attractions are in a walking-distance.

It's not really a big problem, but I only discovered that I can signal the staff not to change the unused towels on the last day of my stay.

Location is perfect for visiting Lübeck. Centrally located with options to take the public transport to any part of the city. Check-in/check-out was super efficient, no muss, no fuss.
