Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomIt would be nice to have somewhere to store clothes in the room, it's a bit strange not to have a single drawer or a single cupboard. I didn't try the breakfast because I'm vegan an didn't look like there would be anything I could eat or the option for non dairy milks etc.
Room was great, nice reception area, I didn't get a chance to use it much but it seems like it would be a great location if you needed to do a little work or just relax. Very handy for the train station and my conference location. Staff were very helpful.

United KingdomThe only thing for this catagory is that the room was sweltering. We had the air con running pretty much our entire stay but it didn’t really do much and we woke up in pools of sweat each night - unfortunately it was tough to have the window open whilst trying to sleep as the train station outside was very loud (which is totally not the fault of the hotel of course!!) But that is my only criticism.
Location was good for travel into the city centre. Staff were friendly, bed was comfy and room clean. Bar was open late and the lobby had a nice atmosphere.

United KingdomThe only additional thing in the room would have been a kettle and facilities to make a hot drink. We booked a taxi back to the airport via hotel and it would have been better if a fee was agreed beforehand. As it was the fee was double of the pre booked taxi which took us to the hotel on arrival. Perhaps an agreement between the hotel and local drivers would be something to look at.
It was a birthday trip and the staff had made an extra effort with decorations in the room. It was a good size and really clean. The bathroom was well equipped with nice complimentary toiletries. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made extra effort with any queries we had.

The hotel had really good decor, the receptionist staff were extremely helpful and the room was comfortable, clean and a good size. I would like to particularly thank Marco, who was very kind to me and helpful throughout my whole stay and helped me to feel welcome in a foreign city! LatviaThe room's carpet was really dirty. We also had a little situation with deposit money, nobody tolds us that they will take the deposit, just after we had a conversation with reception, they apologised for not telling us earlier. The room had really thin walls, kinda felt like you can everything, that is happening in the corridor.
The hotel room was quite spacious which was just perfect. The shower was also big and their was just plenty of space. The lighting in the room was amazing. Location was really perfect just because it was 5 min walk from the subway/train station and also had a lovely supermarket which was opened also on sundays. Reception worked 24/7, which is amazing for people who need to checkout late at night/ early in the morning. There was housekeeping everyday.
