Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomHotel was great, more in a business district than tourist area. My satnav struggled to find the exact location (might be user error!) so just be aware. Also, room fitouts keep the funky approach going but maybe just a tad form over function? Worked for me on a one night stopover but maybe less so if you want to unpack.
This is a quirky format for a hotel with a big social space on the ground floor that doubles as reception, bar and meeting area. It really works! Staff were very helpful. Has secure underground parking which was important for me as i was touring on my motorbike. Internal fitout is slightly funky, brutalist style (lots of raw concrete).

GermanyIt is a 30-40 min walk from the central if there is transport disruption like we experienced this weekend with demonstrations and the marathon - Google maps and the public transport authority BSAG are not very helpful with suggestions so we ended up walking back and forth. The service was, although expected, a bit chaotic from the staff since they are all trainees. Some were definitely more helpful than others!
Quirky bright interior that would probably appeal to the younger crowd and good clean modern facilities. Appreciated the climate control (air conditioning) system as it was a bit warm at night. Would have used the fitness studio too if I had time! It is located in a new build area by the water so rather quiet, peaceful and pretty, easy to get to from central Bremen if there is no transport disruption.

GermanyThe stay at the hotel was really nice. But one thinge was annoying: There were problems with the mastercard payment and the staff blamed me, it was my fault, but it obviously was not.

DenmarkWe unfortunately found something unexpected in our room, which was a little concerning. I do not think there was really a problem and the staff took action on it when informed. Also, it was a little strange that we could not find an entrance to the hotel from the carpark. Not too much of an issue, but it was raining rather heavily that day, so it was a little annoying having to go around the hotel to get to the entrance (however, this still seems shorter than many other city hotels)
Moxy does have a nice fun touch. It is not bland - it brings a little funk that is a nice change, both in the lobby and in the rooms. However, outside of that it is a very regular hotel. If not for the things I didn't like this would have been an 8.

GermanyAll fine in general, I really like the Moxy, it's staff and enjoyed my stay. And I can share all positive comments here. But what really is a no-go for me are additional charges on the creditcard (a kind of prepayment) for stuff that I might consume or cause. An additional prepayment of 30 Euro (per night, in my case 60 Euro for the complete stay) is mandatory (credit card is charged). On my question why I have to do this additional prepayment after the room was already paid the answer was: just in case you take something out of the lobby bar (which is self service) or we need to do some maintenance or renovation, e.g. for smoking (I’m not smoking) in the room or your damaged something. This is the fact: My card was additionally charged with 60 Euro (30 per night) for the case I have extras from the lobby bar or I could have done something that caused damage. In my eyes: this is bad manners. Yes, a lot of hotels going this way with pre-charging. But a lot do not. The fact that I give (time limited) 30 Euros per night but have not caused any additional costs is very annoying. Answer on my question during my check-out when the unused 60 Euro will be reversed: up to 10 days. I simply want to be a Hotel guest, not a bank that lends money.

GermanyThe location, at least while I was there, felt a little out of the way. It's still easily reached by public transport, but it's neither downtown, nor quite close to the harbor. Though there might be more happening in the area at other times of the year/during the week.
Wonderful atmosphere, great staff, and a very cozy and well-desgined room. I did particularly enjoy the under-bed lights that were motion-triggered, meaning no blind searching for light switches for short bathroom trips. More hotels should install those.

ItalyHad to change room twice due to issues with the cleaning; maybe I'm too picky? Room cleaning repeatedly ignored the "do not disturb" sign. Furthermore, they often opened the door before I even had time to say "no". Once, they opened it without even knocking, and then saying "oh, you're still here?" Since I didn't checkout yet, and it was not yet time, guess what... I am. Very disappointing and disconcerning; not the first time this happens to me in a Moxy.
The (final) room was clean and comfortable.

SwedenIt is far from city center, but very close to tram stations and in an area that is developping as we speak. For me, who had D-ticket it didn’t matter because I had free journeys on all buses and trams.

GermanyOnly one type of Gluten free (pre-packed) bread for a 15Eur breakfast. Other hotels have frosted gluten-free bread in the freezer that can be baked... The check-in procedure was comparatively time consuming. No fridge and little storage space in the room.
Location was quiet and very close to to tram stations, restaurants and bakery close by. The rooms were clean and modern, mattress surprisingly firm (loved that!) The foyer was pleasant and sociable. Drinks, comfort food and board games available. Inviting to stay around when arriving in the evening. Staff was nice and forthcoming.

GermanyRoom 206. * Air conditioner didn't work. Even when I asked to check it and went out and returned back in a couple of hours the conditioner didn't respond, so I had to open the window to have a fresh air at night. * The rolling door at the shower was literally detached from its natural position. I managed to install it back on rails myself. I can't even imagine how the previous visitors could do that accidentally. * The bathroom door's latch is almost unreachable. You should probably pull the door with great force from inside the bathroom to finally hear the click (or you can push the door from the room's side). To avoid damaging property, I didn't experiment with pulling.
Staff was very pleasant. The room was good furnished. Wifi worked fast. I was excited by the TV, welcoming you by name when I entered. Quite good breakfast with all necessary dishes to have a choice. I would stay here next time or at least could recommend it for staying.
