How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great neighborhood - very quiet but some cool bars and restaurants accessible walking. The city centre and museums are also accessible very easily. The room was great, the bed is super comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Great stay!

Nothing, everything was extremely good.
The hotel was fabulous, we received a lovely welcome at reception, everything was available for us to use including coffee, tea, water and alcohol. The room was beautifully furnished and easy to use. The hotel was extremely clean, easy to use after hours and the staff were extremely friendly and polite.

Lovely, cosy and quiet. Great location with lots of lovely places nearby, and not too far from transport. Perfect for a weekend in Munich! Selchuk was really friendly and helpful too. Would absolutely recommend.

Front desk is not 24 hours and the rooms were hot at night, even though it was not hot outside. Did not have A/C.

While the room was very well-appointed and clean and modern, it lacks air conditioning so it got a bit muggy, and it'd be worse during the summer. It would also have been nice if the bathroom had a fan to get rid of the moisture whenever I took a shower.
The location was fantastic for getting around town. A couple of U-Bahn stops got me to most major sights around the city center, and there were great food options within walking distance.

The bathroom is so tiny. You can't really put stuff anywhere when your trying to get ready in the morning.
The location was great. Room was very clean and staff very helpful. Coffee and tea were great to enjoy in the lobby!

I genuinely can't think of anything we didn't like
We loved the hotel; it was perfectly situated in Schwabing, which allowed us to walk around without difficulty. Shops, supermarkets and dining were all accessible to us. Our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, which made our stay even better!

Bit farther from the city centre, but close to the english garden. Nice staff, and you could get free tee and coffee from the machine by the reception.

Nothing needs to be improved.
Nice, fresh, personal and neat hotel in a great location of Munich. Silent, comfortable. No breakfast at the hotel but plenty of options within walking disctance in the neighborhood. Very good for a business trip or a short private stay. I'm not a fan of the big chains. I stayed 3 nights.

The colour of the walls made the room a bit gloomy.
The room was comfortable and quiet and the bathroom was excellent. The owner/staff were friendly and helpful. I arrived late when there were no staff on duty but was sent good instructions on how to access the hotel and my room. About 10 min walk from the underground, nearer to the tram, but within an easy 30 or 40 min walk of the city centre, Olympic Park, English Gardens etc. Plenty of restaurants within a few mins walk and shops/cafes to pick up some breakfast.

Everything was superb, but the beds might have been a bit more comfortable if anything.
Perfect location and the owner was extremely nice and helpful in suggesting superb restaurants and things to do and see in the area. Highly recommended!

2nd night was a bit noisy as people in the apartment in the courtyard were talking loadly until 1.00 am. It was so hot but we could not open the window as people were smoking at the table outside the window and smoke came in the room. This was not the fault of the staff who were very polite, friendly and helpful

I would have liked a fan in the room at night. i was warm while trying to sleep.
