The last weekend in September was cold. We sat in our room wrapped in blankets as the heating was not on. The room we got had a small double bed. It certainly was not what we thought we reserved. We had contacted the Kitchen Manager before travelling to discuss vegan options for dinner. We got a vague answer that something could be done. When we went to eat, we saw that there was a Buffet available - nothing for a vegan other than some salad. The manager told me he would do some spaghetti with oil for me. This I refused. In the end I had a nice plate of vegetables and salad. There were scrambled eggs and boiled eggs at breakfast but no sausage and bacon. I found this hotel not to be 4 star. The entrance had weeds and dead plants to welcome you!

Very central and very quiet. As a vegan it can be difficult to get a variety to eat at breakfast. This proved to be the case at this hotel. There was some plant milk and a nice selection of fruits. There seemed to be a fair variety to choose from for those without restrictions.

This is a former clinic which has been made into a hotel, but it is vast and characterless. No proper bar and no one ever in public rooms, because no atmosphere. Fairly basic choice at breakfast in a drab breakfast room.

Central location in centre of town with own underground parking. Particularly friendly and helpful staff. Very clean.

Brekfast supposed to start at 7. I needed an early start on Saturday and had to wait c. 20 minutes before they actually started serving. Quality of breakfast was adequate for a 2*Hotel. Upon arrival at 3pm there was no one at the reception and they did not answer the phone. Had to wait for 10 minutes.

After a long and tiring journey, we walked into the hotel only to be told by the receptionist that we couldn't stay there because we had not told them in advance that we would be bringing a dog. I had chosen the hotel especially because it claimed to be pet-friendly. Thankfully, another colleague intervened and they decided to give us a room, but informed us that we would not be allowed to leave our dog alone in the room (which we have done many times before) and that we would need to keep the dog with us at all times, even in the restaurant, where would have to sit in a far corner away from the other guests. Needless to say, we did not feel welcome. The breakfast was limited in the choices it offered. No croissants, the fruit salad came out of a tin and nobody offered us any hot food. The glasses in the room had not been washed properly and there was toothpaste residue in the bottom.

In spite of payment being made at the time og booking they asked to make the payment directly resulting in double payment. Lift developed fault for long duration.

This hotel is not with it’s money: -I had no water nor cup in my room ??? -the bathroom products consisted of body-hair wash combo, no conditioner, no additional products -the bathroom had dirty/used bathroom interior

Although asked and informed about taking a small dog, and also confirming with the owner/manager at the time of checking in. When we went to room the owner chased as and demanded an extra 25 euro per night for the dog. When I remonstrated owner/ manager become quite aggressive and I would have immediately checked out were it not for the fact that we were tired after a long journey and I did not want to start looking for a new property. Also the room had no facilities like tea , coffee etc and when I asked whether we could go to the bar for a beer I was told that this was closed as there were not enough residents.I also had asked about parking and was told that their underground car park was an extra 10 euro per night and that I could park outside in a pay and display area. After having checked in and organised parking we discovered that the hotel also had a free car park at the rear of the building. Overall the experience was less than satisfactory especially the manager with his scruffy jeans and attitude.
