How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Apparently the cleaning staff only went to do the bed, and not even okay, we found a pillow case probably from a previous guest. They didn’t trash the bins and a lot of dust when we check in.

A/C didn't work (turned off?), so the room was hot, and opening the windows was not an option (too much noise from the street). So we didn't really sleep well. To be fair, this is probably transitory, as they assumed that it is not too hot outside. Well, wrong assumption. Housekeeping missed some details

It was a great base for our city break. It had everything you needed. We needed a couple of extra breakfast tea bags for example and you entered into their app. Within a short time the tea bags arrived.

Everything was great except the pillows. Didn’t find the pillows comfortable.
Location, Location, Location. Close to many major sights and easy access to U bahn and buses. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants around, too.

The hair conditioner instead of jumping in my hand squirted on my face.
Room had a really nice big bed, it was spacious. My room was located towards Innenhof - very silent.

There is a lot of construction work going on on both the front and back of the hotel, so the view outside the windows wasn’t great, but there was no noticeable noise problems as a result of the construction.
Really nice hotel in a great area. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent.

Would love to have had breakfast in the hotel but I thought the price was expensive 23 euros in advance or on the day 25 euros.

The beds were so hard, all 7 people in our group in 4 different rooms had difficulty sleeping and some had bruising. A simple mattress topper would have fixed this. We used an extra blanket the last night.
Staff were amazing and the bar had excellently crafted drinks. The location was perfect to get to things and transportation options.

Unfortunately, housekeeping staff did not clean our room during our stay despite calling them various times during the day and we were reassured it would be done. We came back late night to find our room wasn’t cleaned which was very disappointing.
Good location, walking distance to Mall of Berlin & Brandenburg gate. Hotel staff are friendly, polite and accommodating. Big shout to Mohamed who went the extra mile for us during check-in.

We had booked 2 rooms, 1 had welcome snacks the other did not. They forgot a towel and I had to call twice to get it. They did not refill the tea and coffee after use. Broken remote control was not replaced after reporting it.
Good location, close to shops and sights. Parking under hotel, staff was nice.

The room was cleaned not to standard, the bed sheets were not replaced, and the room was not completed (the hand wash basin was not clean, the drinking cups and other emenaties were not cleaned and not replenished) No English speaking channels on the TV.
The hotel is in a central location, close to Check point Charlie, and walking distance to other sites. The breakfast was very good. The staff is nice but not always there... The rooms are with a good size.

Great location close to multiple modes of transport such as underground. Also walking distance to loads of things in Berlin such as the huge mall of Berlin, the historical checkpoint Charlie itself and some other sites.
