How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The air in the room was quite think … making the temperature in the room always higher than outside.
The place was very nice and modern. Not too far away from the old city . The staffs were nice.

No in-house restaurant means that you need to search for your dinner in town. Which isn’t a bad thing as there are excellent places to choose from.
Design and principles are fantastic. Great ideas throughout. Good breakfast, very close to the train station and we’ll situated for city explorers.

No air conditioning For a longer stay it would be great to have a coffee machine in the room
Modern, clean, well equipped hotel. Convenient for city centre, just a 10 minute walk. Right next to the train station but not noisy. Nice foyer and seating areas. Small but adequate room for a short stay. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The standard room is very very small. However there is everything you need there. The price was a bit high but it was a public holiday.
The location is good, just next to the train station, 10-15 minutes walk from the old town. The hotel is modern and the design is fresh. The breakfast was good, they should add 1 more coffee machine though

Recently I stayed here on two occasions. I highly recommend this hotel. It's literally across the street from the train station and the area is very nice and safe. The hotel is new, modern, very clean and comfortable. The staff were quite friendly and helpful.

The location is just the best. It is in front of the HBF so it is extremely convenient. The checking and out are are easy. The facilities are proper and clean.

Nicely decorated, playful details such as available board games and confortable quiet rooms made for a really good stay-over. 10 minutes walk maximum to old part of Lubeck. Parking nearby.

They had listed the hotel as having charging for electric cars available, but the staff had no idea and no interest in helping out. After driving around for more than an hour, we finally found two communal charging spots, but these were of course both taken, so we were unable to charge up while we slept, which was the whole idea about choosing this hotel.

The room was not properly cleaned (dirty light switches) and the duvets, underneath the sheets were dirty. The double room had a certain smell to it that didn’t go away; rooms are not really soundproof as you can hear everything in the hallway. Toilet and bathroom are very small. No kettle or mini fridge in the room. Table is also very small.

The mattress... It's supposed to be a double bed but there are two separate mattresses and naturally they move and a space gets created between them (otherwise very comfortable bed!)
Sparkling clean and cozy, really nice design and equipped with everything you might need! Our main reason for choosing this hotel was because we had an early train in the morning and the train station is right across the street, literally one minute away. However, it is also quite close to the city center, about 10 minutes walk. Our stay here was short, however very pleasant! We're definitely staying here next time, too.

I didn't realise it was a budget hotel on par with Ibis etc. Small room with single bed no reception at night so very basic compared to Mercure nearby for a few Euros more.

I have booked a superior room, but have got a standard double (smaller one). In the bathroom there is no tissues, no place for cosmetics, no good light for make up. Also the bathroom was dirty. Poor breakfast. I think that this hotel doesn’t cost 110 eur for a night.
