Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

KuwaitWhen I arrived at the hotel, I discovered that it was built with several floors, and the door was closed, and there was no reception area. When I called the hotel, the employee told me: You have to check in at another hotel and carry your luggage from this hotel to that one, about 500 meters away, and my suitcase was heavy.

GermanyThe apartment picture showed two bean bags in the living room area (which we weren’t super excited about) by the TV, however when we arrived there was only one semi-comfortable chair. The TV was on the floor and could have been placed on a stand of some sort. we weren’t planning to stay in the room much, but if you want to sit somewhere comfortable after sightseeing, there is little space. If you are traveling with more than 1 person, they will need to sit in a kitchen chair. I like to make tea and it would be helpful to have an electric tea kettle, however there was a small sauce pan I was able to use on the 2 burner hob, so we worked it out. The other apartments in the building may be better equipped and it may have just been a temporary set up in our specific apartment. We would stay there again and just request a different apartment.
The location of the property is perfect for seeing all of the Christmas markets and much more of Nuremberg! The property offers discounted parking in the nearest parking deck (Parkhaus Katharinenhof) and will give you specific instructions on how to get the discount. Check in is at the Gideon Hotel, about a 5 minute walk from no shoes. You go there first to check in and get your key. The breakfast offered at The Gideon (as they manage the no shoes, you have access to their breakfast) is very good and convenient. The rooms are set up like small apartments and are spartan in their amenities. it was very clean. The bed was comfortable. We stayed in Apt 4 and the booking made it clear there is no elevator, so keep that in mind when packing. There was a large kitchen table with 4 chairs. There were rolladens on a timer, so getting instructions for the remote control for those would be helpful if you’re in #4. the apartment was quiet, as well. The hotel staff was very responsive and helpful!
