There was no glasses in the room , or cups. And parking was a complete disaster. So it’s paid parking but inside was no places available and hotel staff is not aware whether they have available spots or not, so you first enter and only then find out. And after paying for a day of parking we also got a ticket to exit and enter multiple times. But the system did not work correctly and on the next entrance we had to go out of the car , go to reception and only then they opened the gate. Very complicated and not efficient.

Nice hotel , very good mattresses on the bed. Room was big enough for 2 adults and 2 small kids.

No tea and cofee set in the room. They say the reason is COVID but in my opinion in these days the tea set should be in room to avoid walking over in hotel. It is visible that hotel is not new.

you have to book a time interval for breakfast, we chose 9.30 to 10.30. It's not ideal if you are unsure what time you will be waking up.

No drinking glasses in the room. Minibar empty. Too few elevaters in the building (just 2) for 210 rooms.

Breakfast was rather good (score 7 of 10). Direkt bus line 16 to St.Pauli / Reperbahn is just outside the hotel (there is no need to take subway which is troublesome now from this hotel), the bus trip took 15-20 minutes (the subway took 60 minutes incl 2 train changes)

We were asked for COVID PRC test or vaccination pasport in our arrival - that was a surprise, as it is not mentionned when booking the hotel. 3 of us had the neccesary document´s, 11 years old didn´t have. After a negotiation they accepted a quick COVID test (it was negative), that we could check in for the night in condition that we do a real PRC test next day. But they didn´t check one single time our ID´s. I found that it is ridiculous to chase a PRC test for 11 year old, and not check at all, if the other certificates are really for the persons, that are presenting them. I mean even for check in our ID´s were not checked.

Very good location and breakfast. Parking available for reasonable extra cost.

Sauna in spa area was too crowded and misused for parties. Elevators was close to impossible to use as capacity was too low for the hotel of that size.

Just little bit uncomfortable pillows. Which was replaced on request. If there were the opportunity to diversify with cakes, I would stay in Novotel forever 🤪

Elevator was old fashioned. Rooms very white and empty with no minibar. No nespresso coffee machine, only water bioler with some cheap coffee powder. THE PARKING ENTRY IS TERRIBLE! Its very narrow. I had problems driving my new bmw 5 in the parking equipped even with all the sensors. Entering the parking is almost guarantee for dammage. Breakfast can be more extensive. Someone making fresh fried egg for instance. There was no label at the meets during breakfast. I almost mistakenly ate pork, assuming it was chicken. This is a failed item. Every product needs, especially meet, should be visible and equipped with names so that you know what you are taking. The availble items seemed fresh and tasted good, its all about the details. Breakfast 8/10.

The metro station being literally 10 seconds away is a huge plus, you can go anywhere in the city by switching at the central railway station. Will definitely return.
