How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Price and forced two day stay. The address provided by Booking.com was wrong and I ended up paying $80 us dollars for an Uber to get to correct address. Later I discovered there were two addresses and one was for a Hostel not the Oktoberfest on a budget

the included breakfast was fine the camping is not far from the city, easy connection with bus and U bahn.

The toilet all the time dirty, I booked a tent for two but it felt more like one person and the inflatable mattress they gave didn't inflate and we practically slept on the floor. They say breakfast lasts until 10 am, but there were people who didn't have breakfast and it was 9:30 and they didn't replace food.

Tents are small and the facilities are acceptable but quite poor, with the rain it gets worse
It was an affordable accomodation compared to Munich price during Oktoberfest

The tents were completely tiny and not like the pictures. very cold and not accommodated to the winter and rain. Bathroom are terrible. No hot water in shower. everything in the facilities is extremely overpriced. you have to pay more for mattresses sleeping bags hot water in the showers and etc. overall quite fun but would recommend if possible just pay a little extra for an apartment.
Very nice and pleasant staff. Amazing scenery. A lot of young nice people.

Too cold in tents, even though i used double sleeping bag and double mat (they provide only one per person), they are very thin. The water in shower (additional fee) is too cold. Also hard to find a free outlet to charge a phone. You cant leave your powerbanks or phones to charge at night (well u can, but high chances you are not gonna find them at the morning). At night there are hundreds of similiar tents without clear numbers (no lightning), very hard to find your own tent, esp for some drunk ppl who can try to get to your tent by mistake. Some lighten up signs would be very useful (or at least remind ppl to take flashlights, as usually phones are died by the end of the day). Also upgrade totally doesn't worth it, the sleeping back is a joke. I booked for myself and a friend with upgrade, but my friend couldnt come, they still made me to pay 20×2€ for her upgrade "becouse it was booked". I didnt mind to pay whole cost of tent, but seriously pay for "infinite drinks" and "sleeping bag" for the person who is not there? Anyway, as a 21year old even i was too old for this kind of accomodation. My back wouldnt survived if i stayed more than 2 nights, btw sleeping in the MUC airport is much more comfortable than at this tent;)
Great atmosphere, the stuff is amazing and very helpful. Free breakfest&unlimited drinks were very good too;)

The "upgrade" offered was significantly oversold. Sleeping bags were thin and the mats did not inflate. The breakfast "buffet" was a burger, yogurt and half a donut. It's a young party scene and I should have known better. Hotel prices were astronomical when I was trying to book early, had I waited closer to the date, hotel prices came down to almost what I paid for this "glamping" experience. I would have loved it 10 or 15 years ago.

'afterparty' with free beer and sangria only lasted until before midnight. 'brunch' only until 11 o'clock. Seemed to be both a bit misleading how it was presented initially and the information was also no communicated during check-in. The accomodation could have been more worth the money if we would have arrived earlier and partied more during the days i.o. nights.

The tents were smaller than expected and held up ok to rain (pretty damp but not soaked). The rental sleeping bags and air mattresses were awful. Mattresses popped easily and both were thin. It was pouring rain when we were there and we had to find another place to stay due to the wet and cold. Bathrooms had no toilet seats and some didn’t have hot water.
The people were lovely and very happy to help! Breakfast was basic but decent. Location is ok, definitely a campsite location, a little out of the way (~30 away from Oktoberfest with a 13 min walk or bus that we rarely caught)

I booked a bunkbed in a dormitory. I got a tent with a thin sleeping mat and thin sleeping bag. It was ice cold and ground was uncomfortable! I also got a confirmation that checking in between 15.00 and 16.00. I was present at 14.50 and had to wait at the reception until 18.45... Parking is not free, even though it's advertised

The whole experience.
It was freezing cold, you have to pay for hot water, you are sleeping on the ground unless you pay extra for a sleeping mat or sleeping bag.

We made the booking with two unit beds but there was none when we arrived. We informed the personal about the situation and they told us that there was a mistake and that the beds were not include, so we had to go out and buy two mattress!
