We were a little disappointed by the room, it lacked a few amenities like a kettle, a drying rack for towels, and the bathroom heating didn't work as well as the hot water was very long in coming for the shower. There's 1 TV in each room, which is good, but when you turn on and change the channel, it turns on the other TV, which is not at all practical. it would have been great to write somewhere that the sauna is without textile, not everyone want to be naked

The breakfast wasn't as good as I had expected. The maid didn't really do our room well. She omitted some things and she did others poorly. There's no A/C. That might not be a problem other than in the summer. The hallway is rather dark.

The spa was very nice. The room was unexpectedly large. The windows in the room were immense.

spa - swimming pool water was a bit cold, Dampfbad not working soundproofing - not the best and if you are a light sleeper you might have some problems if the hotel is busy. our room was close to the lift on 4th floor ( not even next) and every time the lift would stop the floor would vibrate , unfortunately realised too late to change rooms

breakfast was good with plenty of options. staff where friendly and helpful. spa was nice with treatment options, had a nice back massage. parking available direct in front of hotel. hotel decoration gives a nice classic vibe. rooms were cozy warm and very clean and bathrobes were provided. Wi-Fi reception in our room and throughout hotel was good

Was very hot during my stay and with no air conditioning,? I opened my window for the evening to sleep, but then several loud beetles flew into my room, which prevented me from sleeping. So, I had to get up, turn on the light, and either relocate or exterminate the beetles. Then, close my window and try to sleep.

We were told we could not have a coffee in the evening as the coffee machine was broke🙃so we went to our room without a hot drink to warm up. The waiter did not tell us that to the side, attached to the hotel there is a bar, which we would have loved to have used, (we only saw this in the morning when we were leaving).

Location, breakfast was excellent, very good choice, also restaurant Is stunningly beautiful, also very clean. Bedroom and bathroom was very clean, mattress very firm, which was good for my husband (but not for me-uncomfortable for my hip). Second time back to hotel, and we aim to return again this autumn😁👍

The dinner offering was very odd. The menu felt incredibly dated confused. The portion sizes were too large. The price of the meal did not reflect the quality. Higher quality menu with smaller portion sizes would make this an exceptional location to visit, but the restaurant really let it down. Compared to the breakfast, which was fantastic, the dinner left a lot to be desired.

It was very good value for the room. the facilities were great and the breakfast and most of the staff were very friendly. The whole place seemed very clean. Room was spacious.

The woman who checked us in should not be in any customer-facing job. She took ages with the check-in- although we had provided all of our personal information via booking, we still had to fill out a form by hand and wait while she slowly typed all the information into the hotel's system because she didn't have time to read e-mails from Booking.com and transfer the data. When we asked if we would have a double bed in our room, she said she didn't know what beds were in which rooms, and then said that our room category only had twin beds (so why was a choice offered??). She reluctantly said she'd have the beds pushed together, but she obviously never told anyone in housekeeping. Beyond that, the shower in the first room was so tiny that I could barely bend down to pick up my shampoo (there's no place to put anything in there). And the bathrooms in the spa area were dirty. Also disappointed that the steam bath was not open.

The hotel and the rooms are beautiful. The breakfast was really nice, and the breakfast staff deserves a shout-out for constantly re-filling everything and clearing plates etc. The young man at reception on Saturday night was also a gem - when we told him that our room was not what we requested, because we had specifically asked for a double-bed (confirmed in writing), and the beds were at least supposed to be put together, which they were not, he upgraded up to a lovely suite. The spa area is nice.

Fabulous traditional hotel. Quality furnishings and highest standards of hotel-keeping. Fabulous dinner and breakfast served by attentive and well trained staff. Like stepping back in time to the 1920s . Housekeeping and quality of bedrooms was outstanding. Warm welcome and v helpful receptionists. Our first visit but now one our favourite hotels ever!! Didn’t use pool or spa but other guests loved these.
