How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).

Very well located hotel in quiet street only 10 mins walk from the city centre/square etc. Rather quirky décor but very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Underground car park was a bonus (charged) although care needed if the car is low to the ground at the front.

Superior Double room was a corner room with great lighting and amenities. Room was very comfortable. Common areas were nicely furnished with artwork, books, and curios. Breakfast was quite good. Staff was very attentive.

Perfect location and great breakfast buffet. The decoration is very original and with focus on the Black Forest and Freiburg which makes it truly authentic.

The location couldn't have been more perfect. It is in the center of old town and close to everything. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and very helpful, in fact they went out of their way to help us when we needed it.

The breakfast room was not big enough for the number of guests. Many guests had to share tables or sit in the reception lobby where additional tables had been laid up.
The Park Hotel Post is ideally situated in a quiet street, with a five minute walk from the main railway station and about a ten minute walk to the cathedral in the Altstadt Our room overlooked a small park where vines were growing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception staff can provide local travel tickets at either free or heavily discounted prices.

Staff on reception were helpful, welcoming and friendly. When I mentioned my book (Tabarin) things went up a gear and the lady on reception (was it Amy??) was most interested and I ended up leaving a copy for the hotel library. I was so very grateful for the treatment I received as a published author. Blew my socks off...

It is a very minor point, but the collection area for the buffet breakfast was a little cramped given the number of guests trying to access it.

We couldn’t even imagine that our stay at the hotel will be so nice. The location of the hotel is great (2 minutes to the railway station and 3 minutes to the city center in the opposite direction), the breakfast is wonderful, the staff is polite. The view on the park from the window was incredible. We strongly recommend the hotel to the guests of Freiburg.

The beds were two single beds closed together, but not a single double bed. This is very uncomfortable for a couple.

The carpeted stairs in the hotel were a bit worn and dirty. The top step was uneven, so that on two occasions I also tripped on the stair.

The hotel is situated in an older building, therefor there is no pool or fitness room within the hotel. Also the rooms were quite warm on temperature, so you need either the airco or open a window to get the temperature down.
Perfect location, close to central station, close to city center. The staff is very freindly and helpfull. Breakfast is small but very delightful. Fresh coffee tea and hot choclate provided as much as wanted.

The hotel is rather warm and the breakfast room is too small for the people who stay at the hotel. If the rooms are occupied, there's just no place and you need to come back later. But the breakfast buffet itself is great and the ladies serving very kind!
The location is awesome and so is the staff. Very nice people who are skilled for their tasks.
