Great for kids with the swimming pool

The double comfort room that we booked had too many beds. A queen bed for 2 elders, an infant bed for the baby (on our request) and a additional bed for our 3 year daughter. The problem was that all the beds put together took up most of the room. The other side of the beds were the TV, a small kitchenette and a wardrobe, leaving only a small channel in between for all of us to walk to go across from one end of the room to the other or to the balcony. Our infant has no place to crawl and was confined to the infant bed most of the time and was quite bored. Be sure not to leave the balcony door open in the evening or else mosquitoes and small insects enter the room (this is in SPO in general and not specific to the hotel)

Parkhotel residenz is located at a walkable distance to the "Bad (German)" beach of SPO. One could even use a shortcut from the hotel and reach the beach within 15min of walking. The breakfast is included in the stay and spread is excellent. It is also accessible at a short (15min) walking distance from the Sankt Peter Ording Bad railway station. We stayed for 2 nights 3 days. Probably this was rather short and we should have stayed for longer, given the strenuous train journey that we undertook all the way from Munich. Also ,probably a leased car from Hamburg is a better mode of transport rather than taking the slow RB/RE's which take 3 hours to reach SPO from Hamburg and almost always run late.

If you like to sleep with open windows, you may like to take a room on the land side. On the other side the neighbors ventilation (probably of the air conditioning) generates too much noise.

It has a great location, with a quick walk to the beach area and the bars and restaurants. Parking was included but the places filled up quickly. The pool and the sauna were a nice addition and the breakfast was fantastic! This was our second time in this hotel.

Badly soundproofed. At lunchtime the cleaning staff cleaned the rooms. So if you want to take a nap at this time (or nap of small children) this is unthinkable. It was incredibly loud. It was cleaned at a volume as if the neighboring rooms were completely turned upside down.

Pool and sauna could be bigger in size. Limited number of on-site free of charge parking (only small garage with 15 EURO/night). So you may loose your parking spot in high-season if you leave for a trip. Property rules do not allow reservation of these free parking places. However, the hotel did treat some guests very special and reserved two free of charge parking places. Whereas others had to park in the garage or on the street.

Nice and clean rooms in modern design. In close proximity to the promenade and the way to the beach.

The parking space was limited.

The hotel is very clean and the staff were really kind and helpful, whether they reception, cleaning or kitchen staff. Top service!! It is also very conveniently located next to the beach and decent restaurants. Would definitely stay there if we go again!

Kitchenette below expectations equipped, restaurant closed for dinner, room has unpractical details: no energy source for kettle in the kitchenette, coffee table to small for two people to eat, light in bathroom insufficient for shaving ( face is in the shadow) , mattress too soft and old

the location is perfect, close to the beach and close to the shops. The hotel is in perfect condition and very nice. Nice staff. everything was perfect. I stringly recommend.

Quite noisy in the morning when everybody gets to their cars, the hotel feels a bit like built in the middle of the parking lot. Our room was smelling a bit weird, opening the terrace door helped quickly. Was not exact a bad smell but at least sort of intense.
