How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room a bit small. We booked for 3 beded room . And the sofa bed was left unset and we gonna find the way to set up ourself . And no kettle in the room too. Probably the first hotel come without a kettle in Europe that I ever been

The swimming pool has an odd shape for lane swimming. Photos in the internet make you believe that the standard in the hotel would be the same as in the villa.

We ordered 2 separate single beds and ended up with one bed, 2 mattresses. (I should have said something when we were shown the room ...) There was a small leak in the bathroom.
Nice room on the 3rd floor (under roof) of the Villla am Park. Comfortable beds, very nice linen. Newly renovated. Bathroom in grand old style with modern walk-in shower. Nice view onto the big pond with ducks and geese. Plenty of nature sounds!

Even after complaining twice the AC never worked in our two rooms.

Would have liked to have dinner in the restaurant but no tables available at decent hour. Small thing, but the bathroom could use a bit more light. Would have liked to borrow bikes but there were no more available.
Room really comfortable. So glad there was coffee, tea and bottled water in room. Very attractive dining room and reception area. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast really good

I got a room that had a good view of the outlet, but the air condition system was constantly rebooting, so after a couple of tryouts to repair it, they changed my room. New room was very far away from the elevator, looking at the back of the buildings. At 6:50 AM inside of the hotel someone was drilling in the walls and banging with a hammer. I tried calling a few times at the reception with my own phone, as the rooms don’t have phones, and nobody answered. At 7:30 the outside constructors began to cut marble or granite, just under my window. As a hotel receptionist you should know when you change a room, if that room is close to a construction site or not. In the elevator you have written in only one of them what the buttons represent, as they have specific names/symbols (nothing like 1, 2, 3…)

Nothing really. If I absolutely have to say something, it's that the new part is a tad far from the reception/restaurant/bar and the elevator is slow.
Our room in the new part of the hotel was very nice, comfortable and spacious. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Dinner in the restaurant was flawless and breakfast was excellent! Their hotel bar is also recommendable.

Bed for two people should be a bed for two people, not too single beds. At least make sure they stay together then. Had a small centipede on our room. Sauna and pool are there, but they don’t seem to be looked after much. All in all if feels very overpriced for what you get. Room was not cozy and felt really cold and unwelcoming. The fridge made a crazy amount of noise next to the bed. Bathroom is a little dated. During booking we asked for a massage, but received a response that the masseuse wasn’t in, but according to the website one of them should’ve been.
Breakfast was very nice. Friendly people and tasty. Lots of choices.
