Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe curtain in the room was broken and simply abandoned on the floor.

QatarThe hotel need a renovation, also I did not like the smoking smell around. The reception has quite limited opening time.
It is about 5 minutes walk from the Central Station, for half day/night stays it is okay. The room size was good for one person.

AustriaSometimes not very quiet in the night. Facilities are very old. The street is blocked on the side to the train station at the moment, you need to plan ahead to go around from other street block.
Super location, easy to reach from the main train station by foot. Lots of restaurant around. Price is super for a short stay.

Czech RepublicThe receptionist(man) was not very kind. It seemed like he dislike his job. Due to a stricke I had to travel by bus in the night instead of the train I booked in advance, I asked him if there're a chance to do the booking earlier as I was exhausted(I offered to pay an extra for it) and his answer was NO. He didn't check the availability of the rooms to know if that could be possible.
The hotel is very good located, good for 1 night staying. The room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable.

SwitzerlandNone of these issues are tragic but they should be mentioned: the heating in my room was turned up far too high and I did not have time to get this fixed at the reception as I was in a rush, and because of the noise on the street I couldn't have the window open to cool down. The basin plug was stuck so the water didn't drain, as I was only there for one night, this didn't bother me. The room was clean but you could see that the small corners and details (e.g. towel rails) had not been cleaned recently, but I wasn't really worried about it being unhygienic. Additionally, there is a really loud vending machine on the 3rd floor that you can hear through the door, neither this nor the loud street bothered me, but I think this might be a bit of an issue for light sleepers. Then again, I highly doubt it would be quieter at any other hotel or hostel close to Munich station.
The property is pretty much what you would expect for being the cheapest single room in Munich, it's not fantastic but it's certainly worth spending extra money to have a single room instead of a shared room. My room was quite big and the bed was actually surprisingly comfortable. There was even a wash basin (no toilet) in the room, which was a nice surprise. The Wifi also worked very well for me and check-in and check-out were very simple. The room is on a noisy street but as long as the windows were closed it didn't bother me. All in all despite the small negative aspects I would absolutely reccommend this place to stay!

GermanyAs newcomers in Munich, the location of the hotel was just perfect as it was close to restaurants, grocery stores & above all to the train stations. Though quite noisy, but is relatively safe. Thanks esp. to Chris. the receptionist, who was always ready to help Arcadio & Maria ( Philippines)

Italy- the location is a bit sketchy as it is located on the “red light district” filled with many cabaret and stripper club just outside of the hotel. Therefore many awkward people around.. - once we arrived we were given a totally different room than the one we booked, it was very ugly, small and dirty and I asked to be changed and they wanted to charge me extra to “upgrade me” when is not an upgrade if I paid for it, they changed us without extra cost but the room was still not decent. - the shower is extremely tiny and uncomfortable - we stayed for 3 nights and every morning they would knock our door at 10:00 Am asking to do check out when it was not our check out day. - I think the photos do not make justice to the reality..
- close location to central station - many restaurants and nightlife nearby

United StatesIt was difficult not having a toilet in the room but it was as it was described when I reserved the room. The room could use some renovation. Electronic entry keys would make the room more secure. The value is difficult to weigh because Munich is a popular destination so the prices are always a bit higher than in other cities.
It was very clean and met my needs. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was great having an elevator. The location is right in the middle of Munich and close to most of the attractions.

United KingdomHotel is in red-light district, which doesn't feel threatening, but on a Friday night as I went out of the building two men drinking from cans sitting on the doorstep pushed their way in. The receptionist told me the following day - no reply to my text message - that they mostly just use the courtyard to drink and there's nothing they can do about it. That's honest but not reassuring, as also the limited hours of reception which is becoming common in many hotels nowadays.
Location is very central room was good everything works. Having to share WC is fine as room has shower and washbasin.

United KingdomI got NO SLEEP because of the very noisy night club opposite and wild behaviour of young people in the street ALL NIGHT. It improved about 4 a.m. only to be replaced by the street cleaners. So my poor rating is because of that, not because of the room.
THe room was OK, good value for the price, I expected and got minimal facilities. It was convenient to the station for my travel.
