We speak almost no German and had some trouble communicating with desk clerk on check in during the evening. She seemed impatient with us when asking questions to clarify parking, late entry, breakfast time etc. The breakfast was delicious. Parking was very convenient. Hotel location is perfect for visiting Wittenberg city square, christmas market and All Saints' Church.

For a short while, I could hear someone in another room with the TV on too loud. And my sensitive hearing did hear someone somewhere snoring.

It was barely a 10 minute walk from the Wittenberg Alt Stadt station. The hotel is mere blocks from the Stadtskirche and Alte Ratshausplazt. It is walkable to all the major sites from the hotel. Staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. The single room was very clean and the Wi-Fi worked well. It had a beautiful view of the old town church towers. Breakfast had both hot and cold offerings and of course freshly baked warm Brotchen (like small baguettes) coffee, tea, juice. I would recommend Hotel Pension Schwanenteich to solo travelers who don't mind carrying luggage from public transportation.

Heavy rainfall woke me up in the middle of the night, as it resonated quite loudly in the room – maybe the windows and/or walls are not isolated very well? There's an elevator, but I believe it can't be used after 8:30 pm since a separate night entrance (with no access to the elevator) has to be used then. Not a problem for me, but maybe for others.

Room was very spacious and quite modern for such an old-looking building; it had AC and the bathroom had ventilation that turned on and off automatically. There's a complimentary water bottle in the room, and you get a ready-made table with your own basket of buns, coffee jug, etc. for breakfast. Staff is very nice and helpful too.

The proximity to the town centre was excellent. The room was small but quiet & it had the bonus of an air conditioner. The secure parking was down a quiet lane in front of the hotel.

Breakfast is superb, delicious breads and seasnal fruits! Every historic places such as SchlossKirche, Lutherhaus, Stadtkirche etc. are within a few minutes' walk distance. Hotel own parking garage at low charge is very attractice.

Really too expensive for what they offer: a fair price would be 40% of what they ask for. Not 40% less, really 40% of the price asked on booking.com -- I do not even know from where to start, for instance the paid parking without an electric remote, every time I had to get out of the car and open with a key, like at Martin Luther's time I guess. Very fun when it is night and dark, extra bonus when the combination is night+raining. Staff barely speaking English, or refusing to speak English. Magically, somebody speaking English shows up when they need to ask extra money for the ridiculous parking, local fees, and I forgot what else. I could not wait to leave. I was supposed to stay in that hotel longer, I left after one night.

What I liked more of this place was when I could finally leave, except that also in that moment in a rude way I was called by one employee/owner to ask me further money for a second "local tax".

The room was on first floor beside air conditioning machine hence there was a big element of sleep deprivation which curtailed my activities in the mornings. Noise from the kitchen downstairs too. Hoovering outside my bedroom door at eight in the morning and noise of something being dragged... that made hell of a noise ...just after seven in the morning. The coffee could have been a bit better but it was a pretty good breakfast with variety each morning.

The room was very comfortable, very good bathroom , great shower, and the staff were friendly. The tv in the room was great as were the facilities. Need to sort out all the noise pollution though.
