Mattresses were a little lumpy and soft. Having bathroom and toilet separate to the room was a little strange and not ideal.

Amazing, cozy, smelling good, tasteful, delicious and charming breakfast, candles and natural tulips on the table nice soft music! Do not miss the place!!. Owner David very friendly allowed an earlier check-in.

On arrival being greeted via a video doorbell. The host, who is lovely and friendly, arrives around 07:15 to prep breakfast and puts music on but may not realise it can be heard throughout the house. Getting woken at 07:30 on a Sunday doesn't set things off well.

- bathroom and cw-room outside of bedroom. - a lot of dust under beds and we had a person with allergy on dust. - the room was cold even with the heating on.

Everything was great! The room was clean and cozy. When we woke up, it was snowing, and everything looked like a fairy tale! The breakfast was also very good! We had a good time in the mountains and in Mittenwald.

We arrived by train and the Pension was a little further from the station that we thought and we had some difficulty in dragging our bags through snow covered streets. Not really the fault of the hotel but maybe best to get taxi next time if we could. Might have been nice to have a kettle for tea/coffee in the room.

We love Mittenwald and knew the area where Pension Karner was situated as being nice and quiet. We loved the view of the mountains. David our host was very friendly and helpful and our rooms was clean, comfortable and warm (very cold days when we visited) and was great value. We'd liked to have stayed another night. Breakfast good and well presented.

Communication with the host was terrible. It was requested to share my credit card details in advance, but I didn't want to share them by email. Sent several messages, called the number multiple times: no response. Then 2 days before arrival I received a confirmation that stated only vaccinated guests were accepted - while 2G or 3G was no longer applicable in Germany!! Only after sending an email to the email address I found on the property's website I received an email that the rule didn't apply anymore. I hope the host understands that 1G in itself is really dehumanizing and discriminating, if you're so afraid of covid close your hotel, don't exclude people who make different decisions when it comes to potential health risks! It turned out the host was on a vacation and his son took over during out stay. His son was a friendly chap but if you're away, make sure someone else takes care of communicating with guests.

Friendly, helpful host and the location is excellent, a short but pretty walk from the middle of town. One of the best breakfasts I've had in a German bed and breakfast.

We missed having hand soap provided in the bathroom but that was all and an inconvenience rather than a complaint

David was a brilliant host with an eye for detail (a honesty pot for glasses of wine/beer to enjoy the evening sun on your balcony with for example). Breakfast was fresh, appetising and filling, set in a quiet breakfast room with no sense of rush. Bedroom was an amazing size and comfortable and the Pension was nestled in a beautiful spot at the base of the mountains. David was on hand to offer local walking and other tourist tips without being overbearing.

The location is great and the view from the balcony of our room was beautiful. The breakfast was fabulous. You could smell fresh bread baking in the morning and the hard boil eggs were perfection.

it was an odd setup - a full kitchen but no cutlery. and the Nespresso coffee maker was not working and had several used cartridges in it. it was a large space but not so usable as others.

the views from the balcony were amazing as was the proximity to the town center of Mittenwald.

If bathroom was en suite it would have perfect but it was just outside of our room so it was very convenient.

Friendly owner, large bedroom, outstanding breakfast of fresh fruit, bread cheese and meats. Short walk to enter of town.
