Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

BelgiumRoom was clean except for between the bed and the wall where i could still see some rubish from a previous guest when plugging in my phone.
The room was spacious and had everything i needed. The owner was friendly, spoke good english (my german is not that good) and very responsive, eg i had to change my check-in time last minute which was no problem.

GermanyThe attitude of the host is unfriendly. When I returning the key, I told them that I am in a hurry and need to catch the train, but they said give me a minute I need to water my flower first, and they couldn't tell whether the host fee has been paid or not. As a consequence, I missed my train, waited at the train for an hour, and received a phone call later said the fee hasn't been deducted automatically from my card. So I went back again to the town the same day at night and paid on sight. :-( P.S. The pillow and quilt smell strongly of sweat (really badly).
The place is good and convenient.

United KingdomA super place, although very centrally situated, the centre of town is in easy walking distance, the appartment is very quiet and surrounded by gardens and trees. I was warmly greeted by the owner and the process of checking in was uncomplicated. Parking next to the property made unpacking and shifting my luggage comfortable. The appartment was spacious and comfortable, a seperate lounge area and a fridge were a welcome addition. Big smile when I tested the bed, after some weeks of travel and staying at different places, I slept like a baby. I would whole heartedly recommend the Puppenstube. If you expect a Bijou luxury hotel, than you might want to dig much deeper into your pocket. If you are after accommodation that has a Home from Home feeling, with the loving care and attention of the hosts, you will not be disappointed. Best wishes for the Family Mahrets
