It was a one-night stay due to an early flight departure, and for that purpose it was just what a needed. No complains at all. The room has everything you need (small fridge, kettle, towels, etc). There's also a big TV. The owner was communicative with clear instructions. I would stay again if I need to.

The pension is strict with its payment in advance. There was a lady there when I arrived whose credit card had rejected whilst she was in transit (possibly a verification issue) only to arrive with no booking. She did find the cancellation email, but rooms are tight in the area.

The pension is unstaffed, so entry is pre-arranged by email. The room was small refurbished but clean. The bed was fine. Wifi worked fine and there is plenty of parking. Its very close to the airport so it is popular. The parking area could use a tidy up but is otherwise fine. There were some shops nearby for shopping. Easy to find by car.

Only thing is it bit away from the airport and need to depend on the Taxi. Bus timetable we cannot trust especially on Saturday and Sunday. I paid 17.50 Euro from airport to Pension SXF. Return I paid 12.50, reasonable. The staff was friendly to arrange a taxi for me on the Sunday morning.

Staff was not there when I arrived and a guest recommended me to call the phone number displayed by the door. I was a little bit scared in the beginning because it seems that anyone could enter the pension at anytime, but it seems that they locked it during the night.

It is very close to the Brandemburgo/Berlin airport. 5 minutes away by car. It is a simple pension, but clean. Provided towels, sheets and linens. Bed was decent.

After checking the reviews from previous guests I knew what to expect, it didn't surprise me. The bathroom is inside the bedroom, there is no walls or doors, not a problem to me. Unfortunately the I couldn't open the window in my room, as I was in the top floor and the window couldn't hold its weight and would close shut. A bit inconvenient as I wanted to open it after taking a shower. The room could be cleaner, especially the floor.

The location is really good, it is close to the airport. I could reach the place easily from the airport by taking a bus and then walking 5 min. There is a restaurant nearby that can be helpful if you arrive before 9pm. As a female solo traveler, I was concerned with the safety of the surroundings during the night, however I felt pretty safe. The pension is located in a residential area so it was very quiet.

It was difficult to find the entrance after being dropped off at the address after midnight, and there are apparently no staff at all, or even a management office on site. I didn’t see another soul during my whole stay. My room was identified by its number in an email before arriving, and I was informed it would be unlocked with the key inside. That was true. After ten minutes of wandering in the dark I located the unmarked entrance door around back and went upstairs to find my room. When I opened the door I found a tiny attic room with only a skylight for a window in the low, slanted ceiling over the bed. It was a bit shocking but in due course I discovered it had all the standard features of a hotel room, including a compact refrigerator and wall mounted TV with cable. But everything is compacted into something like 12‘ x 10‘. The decor suggests a dark medieval chamber of sorts. it was also very clean and suggested a good deal of thought had gone into the room’s features. Still, my initial impression lingered that it might well pass for a midway point for a human trafficking ring. More important than the size, the Wi-Fi hotspot was weak and unreliable. This proved to be a problem because I needed to check in for my flight, which I had to delay until I got to the airport. Not ideal.

This is an unique property unlike any other I’ve stayed at. The two most critical features for me are that 1) it’s relatively close to the new Berlin Willy Brandt airport (BER) for a simple overnight stay to catch a connecting flight, and 2) it was very cheap compared to other properties offering a private bed and bath. In that, it served its purpose. It was also clean, tidy and offered most features of a standard hotel room. So far, so good…

- Check-in is a bit confusing. When I arrived there was no one there (and it was well within check-in hours and I also specified my time of arrival in advance). I tried to find reception (behind the house, in the dark corridor...), but all doors were closed. After 10 minutes of wandering around, I decided to call them. Lady over phone was nice and it was easy from there, but the whole calling thing is very inconvenient. I have EU phone number, so for me the price of the call was the same as in my country, but for some travelers it would be really expensive. Maybe object should send check-in instructions in advance if they don't plan to be there. - WiFi connection was terrible. It kept disconnecting every 10 minutes. - No soap in the room - Pillow is really old and uncomfortable. It really should be replaced.

- Location, very close to the airport. There is a bus station 3 min from the pension that goes to the airport, it is 8 min ride and it is not crowded. Price is 1,70€ and you can buy ticket from the driver. Just bear in mind the bus goes every hour, so make sure to check schedule. Also, nice place to eat nearyby (Gasthaus Zur Hecke). - Fairly clean

Old looking rooms. Heating was switched off centrally during the night so the room was freezing, as the heaters weren’t switched on until I got there. I had to sleep in my clothes.
