The hotel is comfortable but the whole hotel is really shabby and needs a refurb. It is a long way out of Boppard ( 40 minute walk) . The trains run by the window so in the summer it would be really noisy.

This is a great location for walking and other activities around the mid Rhine. This small hotel was right on the banks of the Rhine (separated from it only by the road). The price was very fair. The restaurant was also good and also had very fair prices, and even had a nice selection of vegetarian meals. The room was of a good size and the shower/WC, although fairly compact, was fully functional. The staff/management were very friendly and helpful. Parking was available right outside the front of the hotel in parking bays of a small slip-road off the main road. Breakfast was good and plentiful.

Great location and and excellent service. We really enjoyed our stay there. The room, although a bit on the small side, was comfortable and clean. The breakfast and the evening meal in the property’s restaurant were superb. The staff made us feel very welcome, so I definitely would stay there again.

Breakfast was excellent, plenty of lovely bread choices, hams, cheeses, egg, salmon and yoghurt. The dining room was very pleasant with a lovely outlook over the Rhine. We had dinner one evening and it was delicious and great value for money. The host, Marcus was particularly friendly and helpful and you really receive a warm welcome on arrival. All the staff were very pleasant and obliging. Issued with a complimentary travel pass for the train and bus for the duration of our stay, which was an added bonus.

there is a noisy railway line nearby so you need to close your windows at night to block the noise - but this is not a reason to not stay here as the other advantages outweigh this disadvantage

The traffic,up and down the road. But well made up for by the commercial boat traffic cruising up and down the river and the castle on the hills,and the goats cruising up and down the hills also

The WiFi did not work in any of our 2 rooms The owner should update his winter opening hours for the restaurant as this was our sole reason for booking the property. No restaurant open meant we had to travel 4km to Boppard to try and find a restaurant, this was after after travelling 500km and would rather have spent the evening relaxing.

Very comfortable bed and great breakfast. The review would have been much lower as the restaurant was closed, but due to the good quality breakfast we gave a higher rating.

Perfect position in the Rhine Gorge. Friendly staff. Clean. Good breakfast and excellent dinner in the restaurant. Appreciated being given a room on the North side of the building, from whose balcony we could watch the boats on the Rhine.

The property was exactly as was advertised. The room was basic, very clean and again exactly as was described. The staff were lovely, couldn’t do enough for you! We had our evening meal there which was out standing! Breakfast was very good too, all very fresh and a lovely selection. would definitely stay again.

The room was small and there is no elevator but the things we liked more than made up for those minor inconveniences.

Our room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the river and castles on a hill on the other side. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was outstanding. The room was very quiet even though the highway, river and train tracks are close by.
