How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

lighting around mirrors - needs better lighting there given that breakfast was not included we found the 170 Euro per night price a bit too high

There are only about five parking spots for the entire hotel. They were all taken. The very nice receptionist suggested the parking area across from the hotel; we used it and got charged €50 for one night -- don't make our mistake; and the hotel shouldn't have parking on the facility list. The mattresses are way too soft. I couldn't sleep so I got up to pour myself a glass of water -- but that woke up my wife because the sink is directly in the room (design!!) For €218 (plus the €50 for parking), one can generally expect a smoother experience.
Excellent location near the main promenade. Interesting design in the rooms and reception area.

A couple days the room service just removed towels but brought nothing back... even though it was addressed, this happened one more day in our stay. The parking lot is a mess. You pay for a reserved space, but there is a risk of not finding any free spaces at night. Honestly, I recommend just parking overnight at the neighboring parking lot.
Second time staying here, still a great hotel/room setup with good breakfast. Staff is polite and friendly.

Some design choices, while aesthetically pleasing, were not the most functional. The light in the sink area, for example, was very nice - but if I had wanted to shave, it would have been a bit too dark. The layout of my room did not accommodate a desk, which was no problem for me because the lobby provided a lovely, comfortable place to work in the afternoon. The purpose of my travel was not business, but I'd suggest checking before booking if you were in need of a workspace in the room.
This is a beautiful little boutique hotel! I slept very well in an extremely comfortable bed, which I think is the most important thing. Top ratings for cleanliness, excellent quality breakfast, and friendly and accommodating staff!

Our two rooms on the ground floor had little natural light and the beds were very small. Some noise from the staircase.
Great location and beautiful building. Tasteful Nordic design indoors. complementary coffees and teas. Friendly staff with good recommendations for cafes.

We had twice breakfast very early and it was great. When we had it a bit later, part of the food and beverage options were missing, and the personnel could not take care of keeping up with the guest consumption.
Very tasteful decoration, attentive staff when help is requested.

Being there to answer the door for example !
We booked a room, when we arrived there was no one at the desk. They told us they send us an e-mail with a code to get access, we did receive an e-mail, but no code ! There we where after a full day drive standing in the rain outside. We tried to reach them by phone no response, thats no way to treat guests. Fortunately the hotel on the opposite site of the street had rooms available. Even they where kind enough to get in touch with the hotel we booked in the first place, no respons either. If youre running a business, then make sure to welcome youre guest !!! Never ever again ! not to be recommendet.

Staff were courteous, helpful and spoke English well; we had a great dinner with the recommendation from the front desk. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but perhaps we will next time since all else turned out to be excellent. We did appreciate the coffee and tea facilities downstairs. They watched our bags for a few hours while we toured more of Flensburg before leaving on the train.

This is a gem to be found! Beutiful with a lot of smart and cool design. Friendly staff and excellent homemade Scramble eggs for breakfast. Parking with easy acces. Very comfy beds.
