It was a single room, all angles. I thought I was in a Cubist painting. I even hit my head on the ceiling over the bed, and I’m only 5’5.

Location. The steam kettle in the room was a big plus.

Stairs were awkward to navigate. Staff seemed indifferent but no actual issues. Room codes were unnecessarily long.

Great location, 10 minute walk to train station, 5 minutes to the tourist areas. Basic but decent room amenities.

The apartment was very spacious and equipped. It was nice for four adults and a child. The location was great for walking to local attractions. There was plenty of parking for our car.

Bathroom door was made of frosted glass and didn't feel private. The room was small but adequate. Breakfast was €15 per person, too much for a quick bite. You can't get coffee to go or take it to your room. The coffee in the room was instant.

The location was awesome. Comfortable bed. Dogs were welcome. Not hot inside, even without AC, despite it being unseasonably warm that day. Parking was perfect and secure. (€10, reserve in advance). It was a very nice cute hotel.

Three words that are sure to spark joy: Open. Concept. Bathroom. The curtains are very inadequate against the city’s lights, making a sleep mask a necessity. The door locks work with a code you get assigned at check-in. For some reason, mine decided to change in the morning, locking me out if it wasn’t for the staff’s help. Also, make sure to complete the check-in form before arriving if you arrive after 18:00 when the reception closes; I had to do it over mobile data with 5% battery while standing in the street to obtain my codes.

The name is no lie, the Porta Nigra really is just right there, like fifty metres from the hotel. There’s a Norma next door too. I was allowed to stay a little longer past check-out since I had an online job interview. The staff was very helpful when I got locked out because of the lock doing weird things.

All communication received from the property, was in German. We don’t speak German, so that made it difficult.

Perfect location! We could see Porta Nigra, from our bedroom window, and the Marktplatz was a walk down the street.

Even with the elevator, you need at least 10 stairs to get to the room. The room is a bit small. The bathroom door is very see through and the fan is loud

Always a great small hotel in Trier! Always very friendly staff! So close to Porta Nigra and to the beautiful Christmas market! We love Trier and this hotel! Parking is convenient, breakfast is sufficient and there is an elevator to get you up the floors to your nice, clean room! There is a Norma store right next door for any shopping needs - toiletries, drinks, fruit, chocolate, breads, etc

The room was very clean and nicely furbished - modern, comfortable - great location. The windows are double or triple-glazed I guess, because you cannot hear anything from the street.

Difficulty getting in. I originally got one code but when I reached the property and scanned the QR code I got a different code which turned out to be correct. It was after 6pm and I couldn’t reach anyone by phone to get help. All was well eventually but it was very stressful.

Our room faced quite a busy street leading to the city center so it was a bit noisy.

The hotel was chosen mainly for its location - just next to famous Ports Nigra leading to the Old City. The parking was very convenient - for 10 euros we could park our car in the hotel's private garage just opposite. Breakfast was fine, also very cozy atmosphere. The room was comfortable and the bathroom quite convenient, the only issue was that water was spattering on the floor from the shower,

I think the process to check-in outside normal working hours and getting the code could be better explained, but at the end is not that complex and it's true the information is there.

Very centric, close to the station and really easy to get access once you have the codes. It has also a convenient supermarket literally next door.
