This hotel is right in the pedestrian zone but can be accessed from the other side if you travel by car, and has its own carpark. The rooms are great - clean and comfortable. We had a balcony with a lovely view. The location could not have been any better, it’s close to everything. Loved the breakfast buffet. The building is impressive.

About breakfast, by around 8 a.m. some dishes or drinks were already out of stock due to the high number of guests, and it seemed like the staff didn't pay much attention to the stock. They have only one coffee machine, so there is always a line. The dining room can get quite noisy due to many group guests.

A mini-bar in the rooms is surprisingly free, offering beers, sparkling water, and bottles of lemon soda x2 each, totalling six bottles. You don't need to buy some drinks from a supermarket. There's an amazing view from the balcony, but is it only on the mountainside? Their breakfast has many options, and the tastes are okay.

The breakfast was exceptional: there was even fresh mango in the fruit salad. The best hotel breakfast that I have ever seen. A woman staff member even drove me and my luggage to the train station, free of charge!

This wasn't the hotel's fault, but it was quite hot while we were visiting and since most European places don't have a.c. we needed to open windows which let in more noise than we would have liked. (Someone apparently thought doing a marching drums concert through the streets at midnight was a good idea and just a certain amount of conversation noise from eateries and bars out on the street).

Hotel room was quite large by European standards. Bathroom was updated with newer fixtures and both the bathroom and bedroom were clean and bright. Pool was nice and had a beautiful view of Karwendel Mountains and a really fun tile mural of under-sea life. Hotel was located very near to train station in Mittenwald which was great since we were traveling by train.

I was a bit disappointed by the noises from building works, which started at 7 am and were intermittent throughout the day. It spoiled the relaxation

The room was spacious and newly renovated, staff very friendly and could speak to us in English. The breakfast choice was huge. Staff were very helpful with the visitor's card. The pool and sauna were unexpected and beautifully maintained. We were given robes and towels to use at no charge.

I didn't know that the hotel had a restaurant that served dinner, so I went to another restaurant.

The hotel is easy to find, close to the city center. In the early morning, I saw a line of cows grazing.

we had difficulty getting our room keys to work after checking in. They worked to initially get in the room, but after that, for some reason they didn’t work again and we had to go to the front desk several times, and they still weren’t able to figure out what was wrong before we checked out. Someone had to come let us in our room I did, he checked out without resolving that issue.

Sleeping with open windows over the pedestrian zone. We heard all the early morning passers-by. Air Conditioning would’ve allowed both cooling AND quiet.

The pillows are so thin, this seems to be an issue throughout Europe for us. We need to stack them 3 high at least. Maybe it's what we are used to in Australia.

It was an exceptional hotel in the perfect location. Room was big, restaurant was great.We were allowed to drink the room mini bar dry at no expense. Would recommend it highly. Mittenwald is beautiful.
