Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomOur original booking paid for was an apartment with multiple rooms, for me and my 2 kids. When we got there , the key was not in the space which we were told was going to be provided for which then made us a 20£ roaming bill due to having to call him multiple times, and after multiple attempts of following other instruction such as looking in other compartments in the building , we were left in tbe street with our bags. We were then instructed to disturb other unknown people in the building in hopes of somebody answering- which i think is horrific cirsumstances for a mother with kids-no body wanted to let us in and we were left in the street for another hour and a half , and finally then he offered us a ROOM ,2 miles away, after making us walk back and forth. The room we previously booked was nicer and bigger, better view and better location, where as this other room was above a night club with loud music ALL night and was filled with strangers , walking around in underwear,creeping through our door multiple timesWe felt very unsafe, and even had to move a dresser next to the door so no body would come in.The wifi was not working and neither was the TV, we contacted him again and he pretended like there was no problem. In the bathroom there was no toiletteties and the toilets and room wad dirty. It was much more horrific than the previous room we booked. His excuse for all of this was due to us getting there arpund 1h30 earlier (7.30pm) and the booking said the room was free anytime after 4 pm.That yime was aproximatelly,noy exact arriv8ng time! This was a horrific experience for me and my kids, it caused us so much anxiety and uncomfort , especially traveling for 2 days prior. I demand a full refund!

ChinaNot close to city or vineyards but very close to very busy street and railway lines with lots of traffic during the night. Nearly impossible to open the windows because of noise. Kitchen equipment quite dirty and room and beds also not very clean. Lock of house front door broken.

GreeceWarning: This is a misleading advertisement for the accommodation!!! The place is dirty, and smells of cigarettes, mold and humidity. The group of the construction workers staying in the other two rooms completely occupied the kitchen and bathroom having loud conversation, cursing, and having very bad hygiene. I was the only woman staying in the facility and felt so uncomfortable I left the accommodation right away after realizing what is going on. I asked host to help me cause I felt unsafe but he was rather mocking me: “Call the police.” I demanded refund from him since I moved out and had extra expenses but he did not mind even answering. I asked Booking to get involved. It is my worse experience I ever had through booking.com and I would like to warn specially women not to go to this place. Photos from the facility attached.

HungaryThe bed was not really comfortable, we both had backpain after sleeping on it. Most of the furniture are cheap quality, which is totally okay, but the bed is a crucial thing, and that was terrible. Additionally, the mattrace, the quilt and the pillow were heating up easily from my body, which could be great during the winter, but for such a warm summer, it was an annoyance. The place is a street away from the railways, it is pretty loud even during the night. I had no problems sleeping, but my gf had, light sleepers would wanna sleep with closed windows. However, there is no AC or else in the small room we had, so it got pretty warm inside that way.
The wifi was amazing, super fast speed as well as strong signal. The host (Markus) was super thorough, sending all the information possible about everything.

As for me it is the best choice for this money. There are everything that you may need (dishes, stove, refrigerator, hair dryer, etc).
