Water temp in shower was incredibly hot after a few minutes and no way to adjust further.

Outstanding hospitality and exceptional cleanliness. Pleasant front desk interaction and easy check in. I believe this might be family run hotel which provided a homey feel. Felt quite safe throughout my stay. Coffee was fresh daily, gracias! Note: Excellent location, steps from regional transport, 6 minute walk to Messe-Deutz train station. 10 minute walk to arena. Several local food and drink options within walking distance. Continental style breakfast option with booking, was worth the expense since was always on the go daily and most shops closed on sundays.

Inadequate bedding. Needs warmer and longer duvet. Better pillow and extra optional one would be good. Would be better to place wi-fi details lower down on door and print with a larger font. Current positioning makes it difficult to see to see and would be impossible to read for a shorter person or someone with poorer eyesight than me - I had difficulty reading even with glasses on and am not short. No drink-making facilities.

Walls very thin, could hear everyone walking around using the toilet in there rooms & a lot of snoring from other occupants. Not down to hotel just down the building structure. Didn’t sleep very well when it was busy

For me, the room was too small. Staff offered a larger room which was nice. I could also hear every little noise from the hallway - some really cheap soundproofing around the doors might help.

The power outlets next to the desk were not functioning. It was a bit loud.

The shower room did not have any ventilation except the small window and the door was a sliding glass door, so each time you took a shower all the room was very humid (the window in the room itself was covered with water mist). The bathroom was not very clean: the toilet was not cleaned.

When I booked the room on booking I selected double room with balcony. The room from photos are not reflect the reality. I discussed at the reception and the guy from the reception said me this is an booking issue. I waited to clean the another room with balcony over 1 hour. Another inconvenience was regarding the parking place. In description of booking they had free parking but when I asked he requested me 35 euros. I was too tired to go in another hotel and I stayed there. The room when I stayed is very very small. Bad experience for me

My room was not prepared when I arrived. There is no elevator. It was difficult to carry the luggage to the second floor. - No air conditioner in the rooms - No proper WIFI accessibility in my room

The pillow is a non-exisitng thing that can not support sleep of any kind. It felt like I was given a piece of paper to rest my head on instead of a pillow. When I folded the pillow in half to try and get some sleep it was like folding a piece of paper in two, it did nothing. I do not understand how is anybody expected to sleep with such pillows, my neck and head hurt a full week after staying here.

The shower only had hot water. I informed, but didn't expect miracles to make it right again (staff of 2 people can't fly). One person room was very small, but after 3 nights I got more used to it. Got sleepless hours because of the window that connected the bathroom with the hallway, the door of the bathroom was made of glass, so when the lights were on (sometimes the whole night), it shined into my eyes.

Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was correct. The location was good, outside the touristic area, but easily reachable by crossing the bridge on foot. Parking space for the car was easy, you get the key to leave and come whenever you like.

The check-in process. On Booking it says the check-in goes until 10PM. I arrived at 9PM and there was nobody at reception, so I needed to call the phone number written in the door for "late check-in". I have no problem in doing that because I live in Germany and I have a phone that can make a call freely to German numbers, but I imagine travellers coming from outside of Europe would have issues with that. Not everyone travels to another continent with an available phone for calls, but mostly with an internet package only. This person there would have trouble entering the hotel.

Simple room, perfect for one night staying. Comfortable bed.

A bit crammed in toilet in the bathroom, no aircon, not dead silence with window open

Practically close to the railway station for a non planned stop. Good value for the money; clean, good beds and good shower. No aircon but ok still for one night. Friendly porter on phone let us in after late booking.
