poor communication with the reception, we arrived under a stormy weather by car and there was no way to get in touch with them, had to call 5/6 times before someone would pick up. The parking is just as expensive as a public one, but with the downside of being on the road, completley unprotected from weather and potential thieves. The key of our room were in the hall when we arrived, something that is apparently normal for them to do becuase they rarely have a reception open... which for some could be fine but not when you pay this much. You expect someone to be there during reasonable reception opening hours. The price is insane, not going to share any detial about my own booking but I can never recommend this place at 350/400 x night. The rooms are tiny, the showers do not have curtains so water goes everywhere, there is no body soap in the bathroom, and they forgot to give us new towels for the second day. I had to go downstairs and look for someone for minutes becuase (obviously) the reception was closed (at 9am?!?). WAIT, IT'S NOT OVER... We got charged a KFA tax of 5% even if we were on a business trip, which should not be charged with KFA as per german law. When asked for a refund they told me it was not possible becuase we did not show a form that certifies that ours was a business trip... IT IS LITERALLY WRITTEN IN CAPS AND BOLD ON OUR BOOKING CONFIRMATION ON BOOKING.COM. When asked for a refund they told me "ah it's complicated, we always have troubles with the tax office, we do not refund etc...", which is insane, they tried to shake it off as if it was nothing. Insane. They also had the audacity to tell me they told me a form was needed to be signed by my company to validate the "biz trip". So I asked them to show me this "non-existent" message (I had the chat in front of me) they changed the topic right away.

LOCATION, it's literally the only thing that saves this place at these prices.... especially if you work for production at the Messe. Other than that nothing special, see my feedback below and see how it really went (see CONS section)

The parking situation was horrible. I drove around for 75 mins looking for parking. All parkhaus' were booked due to the Gamescon. The hotel should have put a warning or told customers ahead of time. I tried again to look for parking and when I returned the front desk was closed and no emergency contact number was provided.

Nothing, I couldn't stay because there was absolutely no parking.

I have come timely but there was nobody at the reception. The door was closed. I waited about an hour in the street. Fortunately, a nice lady who lived in the hotel and was returning from a walk opend me the door . But how could I get in without the help of this good lady if the door was closed?! After a while we have found the key of my room. About two hours later another lady who had booked a room in the same hotel arrived. We opened the door to let her in. Unfortunately, we did not find the key of her room though we have been searching for it for a very long time. As myself this lady payed for the room in the hotel Liberty Cologne in advance. Nevertheless she had to move to another hotel. She did not recieve her money back. I am very sorry for this young woman.

typical unfriendly german, ask politely why the Wifi didn't work and he just doesnt give a damn. abit of advice for the owner maybe invest a bit on Manners Training for the worker.

room was ok, fair point its near form Expo Location. but honestly its really overpriced judging by a basic hotel facility.

horrible experience. it was very very very small rooftop without air and super hot it was like a sauna inside. it had only one small window that couldn’t open completely.the bathroom was without shampoo you could just wash your hands and body only with water. the bathroom was without aspirator!!! very very expensive for what it offers.

It was a little noisy but I ended up sleeping great.

The accommodation was very understanding about my late check-in! The room was safe and comfortable. The shower and bathroom was clean and comfortable too.

first night someone smoked at the next room and I needed to cover myself by blanket to breath less tobacco, but it didn’t help. there were huge mosquitoes in the bathroom. you can hear what’s happening on the ALL floors, so I was not only “smoking” but also I “enjoyed” the conversation from the other rooms. first night there were no wi-fi at all, it didn’t worked. next morning reception people were busy to talk with me, they spoke on the telephone and resolved personal problems. if u can avoid this place — avoid, or take it cheap
