How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I would prefer a papery slippers in the hotel in general. But I think it is not matched with the sustainable approaches :) Also, since there is no menu on the room, I thought there is no dinner option in the hotel but after we ate at the restaurant, we realized there is an option :) Also, in our room, the internet connection was pretty bad. If we told to staff (we did it previously, it was our second stay) they would change the room but we did not mind this time. Overall, it was 9/10
The staff were friendly, beds were comfy and room was clean.

The wifi connection was very poor. I was travelling for business and i had a lot of difficulties to work from the room. I did not even have coverage with the mobile phone

Room would have been perfect but on the second day the hot water stopped working in our shower that and there were loud repairs going on right next to our room. There was also a bit of a sewage smell. It was clear that there were plumbing issues...and some sort of construction or repair was going on during our second night.
Bed was amazing. Nice staff, especially the man that welcomed us the first night. The bartender was also super friendly and helpful.

Parking in the garage is a disaster due to wildly parking guests. Is this is in a residential area it's not easy to find some space to park the car at night.
Very friendly staff at the checkin. Excellent breakfast with a rich choice.

the glass barrier and the shower are set up in such a way that it is hardly possible to have a shower without making the floor wet. getting to the room would have been challenging if I had more luggage.
my room was very special with its private staircase, much larger than expected with a very nice view. breakfast has a large choice and starts early so it is practical for work stays.

No coffee/tea making facilities in the room and parking the car can be a challenge
The hotel is very nicely situated, walking distance (apprx. 15 minutes) from the town centre with the Christmas market. The rooms are great, good beds. The one thing I missed was the possibility to make a cup of coffee/tea in the room. Breakfast was great. Getting in and out of the parkinglot is a challege at times and also the parking spaces themselves are quite thight, looking at the size of many a car currently. But overall I was really happy with my stay.

Sometimes there was a problem with the wifi on the fourth floor, where my room was located.
Very good location: walking distance to the main station and the city center. Excellent breakfast with a lot of choice and variety. Good food also at dinner in the hotel bar. Kind and responsive staff.

I happened to have a room that had a poorly-draining handsink, and a completely blocked shower drain. Housekeeping should have noticed that. One side of the building overlooks a fairly high-traffic street, which can get noisy. The underground parking lot is very tight and narrow, and hard to navigate in the average rental SUV (especially the exit ramp). And finally, the breakfast "scrambled" eggs were a hard tasteless block, clearly made from powered eggs.
Close to the city center, large room, a few decent dinner options nearby, good choice at breakfast, underground parking (extra fee) which saves having to find a parking spot in the narrow streets nearby.
