How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Ideal location when travelling to southern Germany. I have stayed at the Seligweiler several times. All good experiences. This time I had a better room not the economy grade. Well worth the extra cost

The guests outside the hotel were smoking close to the entrance and this caused a bad smell in the hotel lobby.
Near the highway, clean room, big windows, balcony, pool, good breakfast.

We stopped twice in a week on a business trip. Both the times booking the room on last minute. The first time we had to pay 70 euros per night. The second time over 100.
Very close to highway, good for a business trip. Nice place for one night

The backside of the bed has a frame and wasn't comfortable for those who are very tall.
Very clean room. The breakfast is very good - lot's to eat/ very divers. Friendly staff 24hrs reception is perfect for us when driving towards Austria. Lot's of charging stations in front of the hotel

Bit oldfashioned, but for your overnight stays during the car trips it does not matter at all.
We have stayed for the second time during our Germany trip and it was good as before. Great value for the money, excellent breakfast in the price, perfect location direct next to highway exit. We will definitely return back next time.

It was very easy to find and to access. The receptionist was welcoming and spoke good English (far better than our German!). The use of the pool and sauna was welcome The restaurants were busy, but they were able to find us a table. The food was good We used the EV chargers - there were loads and loads of Tesla chargers and far fewer "regular" CCS, but they were available and relatively fast

You can very well hear people leaving early (5/6 am) and doors slamming.

Staff, at least the ones at 22:30 when we arrived, not so friendly. Our room was very out-dated, shower had no thermostat and an old fashioned shower curtain, so bathroom very wet. But, I have to say they were renovating, so perhaps this will be better.
Great location near the highway, so perfect for a good night's sleep during our journey. Perfect facilities to load electric car during the night. Breakfast was astonishingly exstensive for the type of hotel and available at 6:30 in the morning, so we could proceed our trip early! The beds, I had the best night sleep in 9 day's vacation. I have to say I was very, very tired and did have my own pillow with me, so I only speak about the mattress. But still, really enjoyed the rest.

The room was way too warm, and you could not cool it. Opening the window helps a bit, but then you have the noise of the highway.
Good location and nice clean room. Comfortable beds. Soundproofing.

It was laud, somone was drilling in neighbouring rooms at 8:00 on Sunday.
Small swimming pool and restaurant are advantage of this place.
