We didn't like the road that we had to travel to get to the hotel. It was very twisting and winds up a mountain. It was most dangerous in regards to locals who drive it like its the autobahn. It would have been nice if the description of the hotel included the road information.

We liked everything about this hotel. The room was very spacious, much more than we expected, and had all the facilities/equipment that we needed. Great sound isolation as well - the outside noises could be barely heard and nothing disturbed our kids' sleep at late evening hours. Breakfast was very good with rich selection. The location and the surroundings are fantastic!

Staff informed me by email that a reservation had been made in restaurant next door, this was not the case. Staff also unwelcoming on arrival !

The internet was unstable, but it didn't bother us!

The apartment has a great view of the mountains. Very spacious and equipped with everything you need. Cleanliness is at the highest level. Johannes and his mom were very responsive and helpful. Thank you very much, Johannes - we felt very welcome!

Issue on booking.com side. While I entered the number of person, I clearly indicated 2 adults and 2 child. When booking happened, it was written that child cost is included in the booking, however total number of persons were only 2. I had a understanding that kids are included since I gave the details. But when i reached the property it turn out that kids were not included. There was 10 to 15 minutes of discussion convincing the property people.

the property people were kind enough to accommodate my kids, though I kept saying them that I had entered details of number of person while booking. But booking.com did not considered children information while booking.

The only downside was the room got very hot even though the heating was turned off. Had to sleep with the window open.

Location is great (if you have a car), close to Berchtesgaden and the Eagles Nest but away from where the majority of tourists stay. There is a fantastic restaurant next door to the hotel. I'd recommend making a reservation. Staff are friendly and helpful, free parking available, room was clean and a good size and the place was clean throughout. Depending on what side you are on the views are fantastic!

The toilet is clean, I am very satisfied with it, also very modern design. However, it would be great if there is a door blocking the shower water.

Very big room for 4, in fact there were two rooms. Not far away from Königssee (roughly 15 minutes by car). Free parking (very big space, no risk of scratching the car). Has kitchen and cooking utensils.

We got the rooms near the bottom of the hotel, which wouldn’t be a problem if it wasn’t so scorching hot at night! Especially the bathroom gives the impression of an unwanted dry sauna. Woke up during the night because it was just so dry hot and stuffy. You’re forced to open the window to sleep and you wake up with a super dry mouth and bathed in sweat. The location is also beautiful but be mindful that the last bus is around 6PM! So if you stay out late you’ll be forced to use the Taxi or the Rufbus BGD 2-3 hours ahead! Taxi’s drive up there often and we could tell by the way the driver sped-up! If you want to have a pricy, light adrenaline boost at night experience for 10 minutes in the middle of the uphill woody dark mountain; take the taxi at night from the Berchtesgaden train station. You got to give those drivers credits for their skill to save you time and money.

The location, staff, attention for detail and cleanliness is definitely a big plus for this hotel! Has so much charm and the room was big and even had a fridge! It exceeded my expectations. Has a lovely restaurant next door.

Can't think of anything I didn't like. Everything met my expectations. Just make sure to stop at a store down in Berchtesgaden For some snacks and water if you want them as the lobby for the hotel closes at 6pm I believe.

Great breakfast every morning. Staff was very friendly! Loved the location being close to the Eagles Nest and Documentation Center. The restaurant next door is good too! Everything was clean and I really enjoyed my stay!

The only thing (but stuff like this happens): the room wasn’t cleaned when we arrived, they oversaw it and forgot. But reacted afterwards very quickly and cleaned it. So the problem was quickly solved.

Beautiful location, very peaceful. Breakfast was definitely the highlight of our stay. A big variety and very very delicious. Friendly staff.

I liked everything about it. Well…almost. They were not enough places to eat near the hotel but i can’t blame anyone for that. Otherwise, if you want to go spend a Christmas in Lapland(laponia) you can do it here. It,s a fairytale place.

The beds were too firm, and the pillows were too flat. Also, the hotel is not as isolated as it appears in the photos. There are many buildings up there with the hotel.

The room and bathroom were large and modern. Beautiful drive from town up to hotel. Great selection at breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful.

That's really only thing which surprised me negatively but I understand everyone can have a bad day - when we checked out one day earlier because our son got sick and I came to reception to return the entry card the receptionist first sentence was: "We won't refund you for the cancellation". I guess the cancellation policy is clear enough to everyone who can read and I didn't ask for any refund, just came to check-out and return the card. So I kinda didn't get this offensive speech instead of: "Hello, sorry you are leaving. We hope everything was fine here.."

Hotel is very nice and clean. Room has many clever details which made our stay with kids very cool (equipped kitchen which you can close as a cubboard so kids can't access drawers, toilet and bathroom are separated rooms, big shower, two sinks, two bathroom heaters, extra wastebin for diapers - you can't imagine how parents appreciate these things).

Excellent place to stay in Berchestgarden. Enjoyed our stay there. Sufficient facilities. Very comfortable room and bed. Close to Eagle's Nest. Good base to visit the region.

Wifi is hidden and is working really bad, it was impossible to use it.

Location is nice, if you don't mind driving a bit further, since hotel is quite far from the highway. Good breakfast, nice and clean rooms.

Quiet location. Free, convenient parking. Strong Wi-Fi throughout our room. Elevator. Clean, spacious room. Excellent breakfast buffet. Large variety of fresh food and drink. Friendly personnel in the dining area ensured the buffet remained well stocked, while they bussed tables as guests left. The hotel is a convenient drive to area attractions.
