Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content

- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Cute hotel in Andernach. Has a garage for bicycle parking. Nice breakfast. Offers a list of recommendations -- be sure to eat at Damaskus Syrian restaurant a short walk away. Along the old city wall and not the Rhine, but an easy walk to it.

I can't think of anything.
The room and bathroom were very good, the breakfast was excellent the the location, in the centre of the historic old town was great. The free parking was very good and all the staff were really wonderful.

There is nothing to dislike about this place. Everything was perfect for us.
I loved absolutely everything about this hotel. The location, the staff, the breakfast, the room. I have no complaints at all when it comes to Hotel Am Helmwartsturm. I highly recommend it.

Great location immediately off the bike trail and 50m. from the town square / center . The young lady at reception was extremely pleasant and very helpful . Great locked indoor bike storage . Lift to room . Room very nice , clean and bright . Many good restaurants within 4 - 500m. walk . Breakfast was also very good with hot and cold food options . We will return here again on another bicycle journey.

Hotel was very clean, room and facilites extremely comfortable and the staff very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. As I arived late at night, the option to retrieve my key from a coded keybox made everything much easier

Did not like the latex undersheet - it made sleeping hot. If used there should be a good quality mattress protector on top of this not just a sheet. The pillows were soggy - need to offer a firmer choice.
Great location and free parking in the multi storey close by was a bonus. The breakfast was outstanding and it was an easy walk to nearby restaurants.

Nothing at all
This is a lovely small hotel - way exceeded our expectations. We booked the Suite (our two adult children and partners had standard doubles) and it was amazing. HUGE with a great six-person table for game playing or eating. Comfy living room space. Great beds in a separate bedroom. Sauna (pay to use) with very cool shower and amazing bathroom with bathtub and huge sink. It was fabulous. Spotlessly clean. Standard rooms were also very nice, roomy and clean. Breakfast room is lovely and breakfast was very good. Well-equipped honor bar. Excellent staff who gave us a great dinner recommendation.

Rooms did not have air conditioning so were a little warm, leaving widows open was a little noisy with property located so close to the main square
Very friendly staff, we were attending an event that started early at the weekends so they started breakfast early just for our small group.

I can’t really fault this hotel nor would I want to .
The breakfast was delicious hot and cold buffet plenty of tea/coffee ,fruit juice al fresh. I traveled with a small dog and there was a bed set up for her and food / water bowls provided.

A very warm welcome to two very wet cyclists with safe storage for our bikes. Clean, comfortable room. Hotel in a great location for exploring the town with plenty of choices for an evening meal. Lovely breakfast.

Great Hotel, polite stuff, good Breakfast. Very interesting location, and a parking place in the nearby Grage, free of charge. Whatchout, use parkingspaces further to the top, as the ones at the entrace are often all filled, and because the places are to small, you could have problems gettting back in your car.
