How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Shower power at the second floor could be improved
Very friendly staff, easy access to the city centre (dogs pay 2,30€ on the bus), we were upgraded to an en-suite bedroom, thanks very much :). Very comfortable bed and pillows. Value for money is incomparable!

Despite the fact, that the room was a bit old-fashioned, it was spacious and equipped. The hotel is located in a calm area, but close to the city. We did not have breakfast there.

The distance from the center of Trier. Some areas of the hotel are worn out, some are OK. Sound insulation of rooms could be better. The parking lot is narrow and difficult. The common terrace is neglected and without seating
Very good ratio between price and performance. The hotel was better than I expected from the reviews. Staff both at reception and in the breakfast room were exceptional friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good both in selection and quality. The room was basic, but clean and had everything you need. Wifi was OK. Our room had an entrance to the shared terracce.

The price has gone up but the available facilities ( bar, restaurant) have disappeared completely.

Staff was nice for checkin. But no one was there for checkout, when I called they told me just put the card in to the box . I wanted to stay only 1 night. It was ok. The bed had alot sound but it was clean. The toilet was clean but the doors havnt been cleand for long time. Again for one night it was good.

The price was hard to beat, but you get what you pay for. Hostel-like quality, really just a bed and the basics. But if that's all ya need, this place worked out fine!

There was a distinct smell of stale/smoke in both rooms, which may be a matter of ventilation or old curtains/upholstery but was anyway not the most pleasant.
Evening check-in (we arrived around 11 pm) worked great. Nice bakery around the corner, friendly receptionist for check-out. The beds were simple but reasonably comfortable and the shower had great water pressure :)

It s a bit old-fashioned, but clean and really good value for the price!
Everything was fine. We even got our room before the usual check-in time; which was very convenient.

The hotel is actually 15 minutes out of Trier. The village is very quiet with a kebab shop and a chicken and beer inn.
Our room looked out over the town. Breakfast was quite satisfactory.

My bed collapsed twice but luckily not when I slept, just when i sat on it (no I'm not fat), all in all a pleasant stay at a very reasonable price
You must consider the price when booking this hotel, dont expect the luxury at these prices. Having said that it was clean and there are 2 bars close by for the evening. We arrived on motorcycles and they allowed us to park in the garage. Very nice people and good breakfast.

Squeaky beds in a first floor, very bothered at night. Our room was for 4 people,but we only had 3 chairs to sit to the table. TV remotes wasn't working. Shower needs more coverage, because when you shower all water goes to the ground and carpet.
Our men liked 2 separate beds , it was comfortable for them. Very good location, not enough space for parking. Friendly staff.

Spiral stairs. Booked with card but on check-in wanted cash. Called hours earlier to request lower floor but person did not mention needed cash. We only had euro card. Lots of storage but no table and chairs which would have been better.

Parking problem. The parking is public and it is very difficult to find a free space.
