In the hall there is a persistent smell of the kitchen, due to the fact that there is a restaurant on the first floor. The beds are comfortable, but not for tall people.

Some expected facilities were lacking - e.g. tea/coffee bags, tea/coffee cups, water kettle. Also, it seems that whenever the restaurant is closed there are no staff in the entire house. For example, the restaurant is closed on Mondays, so on Mon it felt like living in an empty house. There would be no assistance in case of need.

Location is superb, right at the centre of the city, close to everything. Interior design is beautiful (especially the restaurant part). Room is comfortable - with big windows which allow ventilation and breeze to come through, cooling the room effectively in the middle of summer.

It was inconvenient to wait outside in the rain until check-in time (as the door was locked). It would be good if there was a small waiting room for customers who arrive in the town by coach before the scheduled check-in time!

I had a short stay of two nights but I can say that I appreciated the central location of the hotel, the room which was spacious enough for one person, the wi-fi loading speed, the cleanliness and of course the kindness of the gentleman who greeted us !

Communication via Booking took a bit long and bill was given only on demand. The doors of the corridor and individual rooms are a bit loud.

The facilities are all exceptional. The hotel is an old house that is wonderfully renovated. Even though no breakfast is offered, there are plenty of cafés around town to go and enjoy something local. The dinner menu is superb and does not leave anything to be desired.

The room is across from the tram station and is very noisy, especially because windows were open to try to cool room at night . There is no a/c or fan. The terrace is for the restaurant.

Perfect location, very close to the train station Jena-Paradies and in walking distance to most of the tourist attractions. The room was clean, the personal was very friendly and welcoming. Comfortable and quiet, even though it's near the trams. 10/10 would recommend.

-Breakfast not included -Need to update the Wi-fi subscription every 2 hours -When I entered...check-in done in a very superficial way, I was standing up near the door confused, asking "Do you want to see my ID card? Do you want to see the code of the room I booked?" -I wasn't able to recognize who work there, when I left my luggage I was feeling a little bit uncomfortable -The room wasn't ready for my entrance, I was tired waiting outside just for that and I needed to come later again -Wanted to have a dinner downstairs but was all busy, asked if possible to receive the dinner in my room but I received as reply to just wait until some seats will be available (but I honestly think I didn't explained myself well)

very clean and spacious room, kind staff, perfect and very central location within a city, a lot of restaurants and shops nearby, short walk to the Zeiss Planetarium and the JenTower, gut connections via tram and bus network
