How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

WiFi connection was POOR! The ONLY way to connect with the internet was to stand at the doorway of the room, 2 steps away- nothing. We only connected with 1 bar of wifi and it was slow. By standing outside the room, nearly in the parking lot, I only got 1 more bar, NEVER full or solid connection. Extremely annoying and inconvenient!! The bathroom had a really nice sliding “barn” style door. But it didn’t completely close. There is always about 1cm space at the opening so there’s little privacy. You can stand outside the bathroom and see the toilet and into the shower - Poor design.
The price, checking in was fully automated with a PIN to access the room, but the website made it slow and annoying. Modern, nice kitchenette with large refrigerator.

The room neighbours can be a little noisy but the soundproofing is very good. Some items are quite damaged, for example the desk.
Small hotel in an industrial/commercial area close to the motorway. Access is very easy by car only. The hotel is modern, clean and above all very well soundproofed. The room was very comfortable and a large fridge is always handy. It's a convenient hotel for a stopover, although we recognise that it's a long way from the city centre.

The room had not been cleaned. When I rang the help desk after initially saying the hotel was full so I should go elsewhere, they tried unsuccessfully to arrange access to linen room so I could get sheets and towels, eventually a cancellation occurred and I got an excellent room. There were many apologies and assurances that it was a one off. However a few hours later another couple had the same problem, but no spare room, so we shared our clean linen with them.
The hotel is new, the rooms are spacious and well appointed This was our second stay. When we had an issue with the room Christiana on the help line went out of her way to help us.

Google maps doesn't take you to the hotel just to the end of the street. The hotel is in a street to the right just before the end of the street and has a no entry sign.
The hotel is new, the rooms are spacious and well equipped, even a kitchenette. Supermarkets are quite close. I had a problem with my code, this was resolved with a simple phone call. When the parking area and landscaping is finished it will be a great stopover.

No coffee maker, hot water boiler.
Quiet, roomy, comfortable, nice windows for sunshine. Beds comfortable, shower was enjoyable with plenty of hot water.

We lost 1 hour, because they give room 101 and pin code for opening door was not working. Need call them and ask another room. They give another room quick, but anyway time was lost

No A/C- the room was very warm after 30 degrees temperatures during the day, the hotel was opened before the completion of all exterior finishes, workers are very noisy and nervous because of the customers cars in the hotel parking lot.
New hotel, everything new , very clean, small kitchenette equiped with all what you need

Upon arrival it turned out the hotel was still under construction. RNK Hotels apparently informed me of this by email, but they put the crucial information (offer of a re-booking) all the way on the bottom of the email, right below the booking confirmation (which caused me to completely miss that crucial information). Horrible way of communication. Fortunately the call center lady was helpful and booked another hotel room (w. upgrade) when I called her after arrival at the RNK construction site. All in all a very stressful situation that ended up well, but could have been avoided had RNK communicated properly.
Nothing, apart from the rebooking service when it turned out the hotel was still under construction.
