Beautiful inside-out, surrounded by amazing huge garden. very friendly staff, clean and cosy - you really feel like living in a castle!

Hallways and reception seemed a little cluttered with things (there was an event the evening before which would explain some of this). Air con would have been nice though a fan was provided. Window meshes for all windows would be preferred due to being close to water, we had a lot of insects in the room at night. The bath/shower splash screen wasn’t fully sealed which meant water flooded the floor a little. Simple repair to fix.

As I am a wheelchair user it was very difficult to go into the hotel through the main door (maybe an automatic door would be beneficial for disabled people). Once inside the door the reception area was 2 steps to your right and this again caused problems as people were queuing at reception and blocking any type of access or exit to the hotel. Also the disable parking was quite away from the hotel and not clearly signposted. If it was raining you would be complete soaked by the time you reached the hotel.

Fantastic stay, on arrival there was a problem with our booking, it was expertly dealt with immediately. Nothing was too much trouble for the very polite and friendly staff. The room was very clean and exceed our expectations.

The location is in the middle of a park. It is an old but very well renovated manor. The environment is very quiet. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, as well for the hotel and as well for the restaurant. they must have a very good chef because the quality f the food is outstanding.

If you want to visit Gelsenkirchen this is the place. It is by far the best location that you can find in the area, by far..... An old traditional German Schloss, kept in excellent condition, in the nature, in the green next to a small lake. Stuff super. Breakfast super. The was room cosy and warm. In our opinion it is a privelege to stay there, cause they have a limited number of rooms Vielen Dank und auf wiedersehn.

I want to express my gratitude to the staff at the reception. On 06.07 I arrived in Cologne at 23.00. Thank you for the patience shown to me by the girl at the reception. Her attention, sympathy helped to solve my problem, despite the difficulty in communication, my lack of knowledge of the language. In the morning I was glad to hear my native speech and it was an employee at the reception. Her sensitivity helped me throughout my trip. She taught me how to buy tickets at the terminals and it made my journey very easy. Such employees are a value and decoration for your hotel. About such it is written in the Bible: "A good man keeps good in his heart, and good comes from him." I wish you prosperity and only such employees!

Frendliness of staff. Picturesque quiet location

It deserves a total overhaul. Hotel doesn't have a private parking as they said, but rather it is part of the park where the hotel is. To arrive with the suitcases you must walk at least 100m by gravel. The hotel is very old and poorly maintained. The carpet in the room gave signs of it. And now, let´s talk about the people, the reception staff is very unfriendly but in the restaurant it is even worse, and not by the waitresses but by her restaurant manager. We had breakfast at the hotel, it was awful, low quality salami, bland bread. There is nothing in this hotel that can withstand the stars it has.

Absolutely nothing good to say about this lodging house but not hotel. I can't say anything good about this hotel at all.
