Beautiful location. Everything was great except dinner. They DO NOT serve dinner and no restaurants are open on Monday or Tuesday evenings. Knowing that in advance would have helped in making our reservations. Other than that we loved our stay in the castle!

Unique and quite spectacular location for anyone who enjoys history; beautiful surroundings; large rooms with comfy beds, great service. Place might be warm during hot summer days. Parking is located at bottom of the castle. I really enjoyed my stay there with kids.

Amazing place to stay! My husband and I were hiking the Neckarsteig but chose to stay here two nights we loved it so much. The room was so big with a massive high ceiling. Modern but without taking away from the unique history of this Schloss. Very clean, comfortable bed, beautiful view over vineyard, staff very welcoming. Breakfast was the best we had in Germany so far. Can’t recommend this place enough and it’s great value for money.

A very well preserved old historic fortress/castle. Very accommodating staff. Good room, large, clean, modern. Breakfast with all one could wish for. But, the small village and castle are quiet calm, so don’t expect too much.

After seeing so many castles along the Neckartalradweg, what a treat to sleep in one! Very bicycle-friendly with a safe and roomy bicycle storage room. Fantastic view from our room. Beautifully renovated, our room offered a modern and clean bathroom. Lovely breakfast.

No complain at all.

The room is very clean and large in size. View from our room is also good. The hotel is also has excellent view to the surrounding area. We enjoyed so much at night and in the morning. We'll definitely comes back when we back to Germany again. The breakfast is also very good. It has many varieties, it also has some really fresh salad that you can cut yourself. Amazing!!! Host is also very friendly.

location - there was little to see in the village and no decent restaurants in our opinion. maybe only 2-3 options period.

the castle atmosphere was good tho could have been even better. the duty manager (Philipp) was excellent and took such good care of us. the breakfast was amazing tho how many ways can you present an egg? they pushed the limit…breakfast staff (older women) could have been more warm in their responses, but there was a new person who was trying so hard and was very nice. beds were overall comfortable. we really enjoyed the stay. highly recommend.

Our check-in was delayed for some reason to do with the swipe cards so had to wait about 10 minutes but they gave us a coffee while we were waiting.

Breakfast was fantastic! The location was also great, and our room was very spacious and warm (despite very high ceilings). We found everything great. The town itself was fairly small without many shops to browse but we didn't go there for shopping - we did a good walk up the hill opposite to look down on this castle and that was good.

The lighting was dim unless you turn on the ceiling light which was a bit harsh. Couldn't get the news from home on the TV.

The bathroom was updated nicely and the bed was comfortable.

An amazing experience。 Got the key with the password，so we didn't have to worry about being late, it's very convenient. When we arrived at the hotel, it seemed that we were the only ones. It was a bit deserted. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, we were given a separate service, not a buffet, the breakfast was perfect to enjoy. Good value for money and worth the experience if it's nearby.

We found Schloss Horneck at the last minute and stayed one night at the end of our Bavaria road trip and wish we could have stayed longer. It's a gem! The area itself is very charming. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! The best I've had during our entire trip. The staff was incredibly friendly as well. When the refrigerator in our room wasn't working we were allowed to keep our beverages in the kitchen. The room itself was very large with huge windows overlooking a beautiful view of the water. We had a wonderful stay.

Bathroom is functional but that is all; dated and not up to standard.

Very good breakfast buffet. Nice historical little village, but it was deserted, saturday afternoon, and we were just in time to have a coffee and cake in a patisserie before it closed. Spacious room. Quiet surroundings. We sympathise with the concept of how this historical building is maintained with the help of sponsors and hotel guests.
