Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

HungaryIt took almost 1h for the staff to do the check-in for only 3 rooms... Even tough they answered they have a place for safe bycicle storage, it means for them that you can leave your bikes out at the open street, simply locked to a stand... Obviously this was not acceptable for us, so we took the eBikes with us to the rooms.

Lake Constance is beautiful but pictures suggested there was indeed a view of it, which there isn't. This is situated in one of the pedestrian main streets about 2 hunder metres back. Still nice, but its the lake view you really want.

location. close to everything that you need to see. you can take the ships by walking a mx of 1 min. restaurants, bakeries, museums, viewpoints, everything is in close proximity. Also u get a card when u check in, and u can travel with this card anywhere free of cost using ships, bus, bahn.(To places located along the coast of Bodensee)

IsraelRoom view is to the rear rear was the rear side of restaurants parking and a church so it was noisy. No air condition in the room so you can't close the windows because of the noisy environment. A very small fan was supplied and was not very efficient. Breakfast is good but the price of the room we expect it to be included they ask extra 15 euro per person per day - much too much. Room price is is very high. We understand and believe because it was Best Western once the standard of the room will stay the same but it's not. The hotel has two parts - the reception is in the main Street and the rooms are in the next building on another Street. We didn't see any surveillance camera at the other building sometimes the door stay open.
Location is great. Breakfast is great really great but much much too pricey.

South AfricaParking is only available in an underground parking garage at 15 Euros per night. It was quite a mission finding and getting into this facility.
Fantastic location! Right at the waterfront and close to the December Christmas markets. Easy walking distance to so many lovely shops and restaurants. Seamless check-in and access. Our stylish room was huge, well appointed and very comfortable.

South AfricaThe water to shower was cold. When we told reception they gave us a key to another room to use that bathroom where the water was like 1degree C warmer and the shower head holder was broken so water got everywhere. Also the bathrooms had no ventilation (there is a grate but no fan to remove smells). There are not enough plugs near the bed, you have to choose between charging your phone and having light. For a so called delux room and delux price this was not a good experience.
The beds were really comfortable. There is a lift.

Switzerland- wifi (i was kicked out of the wlan network every 30 min, i had to re-log in several times. It was not a stable network.) - cleaniness in bathroom (there is a potential! For example, dust on the heating or toilet odour...) - confusion of staff (i paid my breakfast, but i was informed that i booked my hotel room "without breakfast") - breakfast was very nice, however, the cappucino tastes like brown water and orange juice like an emulgator cocktail :)))
The location was great! And the hotel staff was very friendly. Maybe a bit confused, but friendly.

GermanyWe were carrying a lot of heavy luggage, and it was not really convenient for us, since the hotel did not have an elevator and we got rooms on the second floor.
A very central & convenient location, within a short walking distance from the train station. I was lucky to get a room with a lake view, it was wonderful! The single room was cosy and with a lot of space. The staff was friendly & helpful.
