Because it was very hot and we needed to open the window our room was very noisy. The fan provided helped both of these problems!

The price at arrival was 20% more than booking.com said (couldn't pay in advance). The explanation was very vague and still not clear to me. Showed them what the rooms would cost according to booking.com, they nod and smile yes and then still 20% more shows up on the invoice. After 3 times I just gave up.

Price of Breakfast was a bit steap

Built like a little square block with a central parking area. all buildings are easily accessible and have lifts. excellent central location for all Hamburg has to offer. Small rooms but very comfy and updated. The staff was excellent and highly responsive for a couple extra wishes. A fan and extra pillows.

No air conditioning in the bedroom! We stayed over a very hot couple of days and were in a ground floor bedroom making it unsafe to leave windows wide open during the night. Air conditioning would have been very welcome! Also the quickest way to the hotel was up a lot of steps…but of a trek with a suitcase! But that isn’t the hotel’s fault!! The main entrance is on a road with vehicle access

Great location - close to trains, buses and harbour taxis. Lovely restaurant terrace overlooking the Elba. Plenty of parking for anyone who is driving.

Everything was good but the steps up from the bottom street and the ongoing noise from the trains. I was not give notice of either of these issues and that is unfortunate. Otherwise service and my stay were good.

The room was a bit smaller with bed against the wall. The Tower bar had the upstairs shut and didn’t take card payments. The downstairs only had a few small windows so the best way to appreciate the view was on the stairs outside the bar.

It was quirky and charming eating dinner on the terrace overlooking the harbour was lovely.

Staff was not very responsive to the concerns raised. The Wi-Fi in the room is totally useless, vey weak signal, connects and disconnects frequently. The telephone had no directory numbers on it, and the numbers were just not available anywhere else. Raised the issue three times and nothing was done. no concerns about an emergency situation?

I was very disappointed by my room (otherwise quite decent) being in a corner position on the back side of the hotel, such that much of the windows were obstructed by something like service stairs and cooling conducts or something. A hotel like this should not rent out a room like that for 200 euro a night, but rather use it for service, or something else. (I am not the kind to banter and complain, so not asking for a change was my fault...) Other minor things: soap bars and shampoo/shower gel minibottles would be more convenient and appropriate than the unconfortable (and cheap-looking) wall-mounted squeeze-dispensers. There was no phone in the room and essentially no information accessible about services, restaurants, etc. The queen bed was actually two joined singles with single mattresses, another thing I'd not expect from this kind of establishment.

The location is excellent. In particular, I had breakfast at the restaurant at ground level with a phenomenal view on the river. There are four more bars annexed to the hotel, three of which with even better views, but I did not visit them. Personnel was quite helpful and kind. Hamburg in general is beautiful and welcoming.

I understand that this can be a really busy time, but a little more information from the reception staff on check-in would be more helpful. I had to ask a variety of questions, as the information was not freely provided. The service on check out was great and the person who dealt with me really friendly.

The hotel was prefectly located for sightseeing and for going to shows. The staff were polite and the room we booked was compact but all there. We didn't try any of the meals in the hotel as we were there to visit Hamburg so we ate out all of the time. We luckily had perfect weather which was an added bonus.

The location and the historical vibe of this place are exceptional. Bed was really comfy, and the views from the dinning room and the tower bar are just the right introduction to Hamburg.

The payment process is a bit weird. We had to pay for our room via the link sent to your email from the hotel (not booking) and we didn't receive any confirmation about the payment process. Nevertheless, we didn’t have any trouble after. Also no possibility to pay at the check-in

Despite the size of the room our stay was really comfortable. We celebrated the New Year at the restaurant and the food is really-really good. Good location and despite the close distance to Reeperbahn the area is nice and quiet.
