Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LithuaniaTea maker is missing. At least there could be shared little kichen or at least coffee machine in the floor. Two cups and being able to make tea would be perfect! Also a bit far away from S-bhn or U-bhn, bet you can reach it by foot in 15min so it is okay
Safe area with kindergardens around it. Green and silent. Other guests were also nice. Good food in bistro, satisfying breakfast for 11€ eatch with a lot of food. Comfortable bed, shower. Well designed and hip place. Good value. I would stay again. Clean. Supermarket is not too far away.

PortugalThe room I stayed in was really hot and there was no A/C. The hotel provided a big fan, but it was still difficult to cool down the room. It's the only complaint I have.

IrelandThere is no daily housekeeping. When asked we were told it will be done once a week if we book for a week or more. With the price we paid that’s not acceptable. Weekend there was no staff to even provide fresh towels.
Clean. Initially. Nice and calm area. Bar and gym were good.

GermanyElectric fan didn't change the room temp much. At a relatively normal spring day the display showed 30°C even with windows open. We wondered how this would be in the middle of the summer. Everything else was okay. We did get our breakfast at the mall nearby near the Pankow city hall. Parking was quite full but we were given a small parking spot by the friendly staff.
Location was nice and close to where I wanted to go.

IrelandReception hours only from Monday to Friday, luckily we could get some help from the cafeteria employees during our stay (long weekend).
Loved coming back to a quieter area after spending the whole day walking around the city and enjoying the hustle and bustle of Berlin's attractions. Walking around this area we also got to discover new areas not mentioned on the guides and nice parks where locals spend their time and some really lovely cafes. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable, all that we needed for our stay.

A really nice and modern place with a comfortable room. It is not in the center, but the public transport is good, and there are shops and restaurants in the area. The breakfast is also great.

United Kingdom- No one at the reception on weekend so there is no possibility of leaving your luggage anywhere if your flight is in the evening - Pankow is a nice area but the hotel is a good 15 minute walk from the station. Visiting anything will take you 30+ minutes of travel time. The dialy travel card is 10e, so if you are staying for 4 days, 2x people, that's around 80euros that you could have maybe spent on a hotel closer to the tourist attractions.
- Rooms were nice, modern and clean - Quick check-out

IrelandThe room is very small, I stayed for a week and didn’t have enough space to hang my clothes or keep toiletries in the bathroom. They only clean the room once a week. There is a restaurant where you can buy breakfast a la carte but it didn’t seem appealing and it was cheaper to just get breakfast at a nearby cafe so I didn’t buy any food at the hotel. There are also stairs to the entrance so had to carry my heavy suitcase up to get in.
Very nice design and comfortable bed.

NorwayThe property was great, but my stay there was not so pleasant at times. My keycard stopped working in the middle of the night, so I couldn’t access my room. I then called the emergency number provided, but it took 10 minutes before anyone picked up which was ridiculous. Luckily, I fixed it by getting a new one at the self check-in desk. It was unfortunate that it happened, because I’ve never encountered that problem at other hotels in the past. Some of the staff I talked to were also quite rude for no reason and I found that to not be very professional.
The room I stayed in was nice, clean and modern. The property was cool and the location great.

GermanyThe only thing that I wasn’t used to was the reception not being occupied on the weekend and that there isn’t a daily room service/ change of towels. Changing of the towels and cleaning the room every 7 days as stated by the hotel is not enough in my opinion but we just asked for new towels when needed and they were provided
Very nice and modern interior. The rooms are also modern especially the bathroom.

UkraineStaff is only at their desks from 8am to 8pm Mon-Fri, all empty on the weekend, so if you arrive or leave outside of those times and want to at least leave your luggage while you wait for check in or after check out, it’s simply not an option cause there’s no one there (unless you get lucky as i did and there’s a lovely cafe worker around to help you out). Basically everything’s ok as long as you don’t have any issues or requests, and it’s not that the staff isn’t helpful, it’s just that they’re off the clock and you’re faced with an empty lobby. Location is far from the center so it takes like 40min to get anywhere at all, but that’s not the property’s fault.
Lovely neighborhood, stylish rooms

NorwayIts a bit decentral, but the price and quality of the hotel makes up for it! I wish that the trash was taken every day or every other day, but other than that.. very good!
Its a modern facility in a Nice area. You have to travel some time to Get to the attractions, but this part of Berlin is calm and it has a shopping center right besides Which is great. And the gym is pretty good.

Sri LankaOnly issue was that there was a problem in drainage. The property is little far from the central area but Berlin is huge and for the price the room is good. There are metro and busses well connected to the property.

The staff were super friendly, always willing to answer every question and help in every possible way. The room was very modern, clean and very well organized. The hotel was conveniently located near tram and bus stations, a shopping mall and a hospital. The whole concept of the Base Berlin seemed very interesting, and I would definitely recommend it.

HungaryCleanliness: I like that it is nature-friendly not to clean daily, but I think maybe cleaning the trash can is a good thing. Also, in your room, you don't have glasses to serve you water or a pot to make tea or coffee. Buuut the staff can offer you hot water in the restaurant at no cost :)
The location was good. And the staff was super friendly.
