How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location didn't feel safe after dark for my wife and child. Lots of people with drug problems in the area near Hauptbahnhof.

Breakfast was very overpriced
Lovely, clean and comfortable modern hotel. We had a family room with bunk beds above the main double bed and a baby cot - all great. Hotel is within easy walking distance of the main train station and close to Berliner Tor U-bahn / S-bahn station too.

1. location is a bit dodgy at night (but it is right next to a bus station do no surprize here) 2. the shower basin is just bad design. water starts pouring on the floor several minutes in. it is a common problem of this type of shower cabin - instead of being low and properly angled for water to go down the drain they are elevated above the ground. not the hotel’s fault, just an impractical design decision

The bathroom was open on one side, which meant that when showering the water does get out. And given there was no drain it was a bit of work to keep the bathroom clean.
The room was of medium size, but they had very smartly managed the bedding for 4 people. The kids loved sleeping in the beds that were mounted on the walls. Breakfast had a generous buffet and the food was great. The location was good and the main attractions were reachable with less than a 10-15 minute drive.

The fact that the shower area is open at one side but the floor of it is not slanted yet higher than the bathroom floor. Hence, every time I showered, the water overflowed all over the bathroom floor.
The hotel is actually pretty nice and comfortable. It looks new as well.

shower drain wasn't taking water fast enough and the water got out to the bathroom. the flood couldn't been clean as thre were no tools to do that.
the scottish carpet that looked like a blanket, a little goodie shop with British items, the relaxetion room with lots of things to do

Just one little thing in the bathroom… Maybe the walk-in shower should be closed… there was water everywhere, even if you stayed in the opposite corner… Or was it the drain that was a bit slow…!?!

Extremely expensive breakfast, thin walls so you could listen to everything the people next door were doing and the area was not so nice.
They have a bar, gym and the hotel looks modern. If you keep your towels for a couple of days you get drinks for free.

It has a certain 'Brit' style which may not appeal to everyone. The room was quite small side but wasn't a problem as we weren't spending much time in it. The cleaners came into our room twice before we had left the room in the morning which was a bit annoying. But overall this is a comfortable and easy-going place to stay.
The room was quiet, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was really excellent!

Room: The air circulation of the room created a hissing sound throughout. Bathroom showering area wasn't covered, making the dry area wet. Breakfast: The buffet price was expensive for what it had to offer. Location: None

Not the best location. It's near a lot of cool stuff but there's also a lot of homeless around. Noticeably a rougher part of Hamburg. Also, the shower didn't have a back to it so the floor just got drenched every time I showered. Just a minor annoyance.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Place was very clean and aesthetic. Room was great, loved the shower.

no much in terms of in room facility, TV had some international channels but not the possibility to use Netflix or other platforms. limited wardrobe space, especially when you are travel in couple but overall enough to hung coats and a dress.
Comfortable beds and decent size room, Staff is friendly and helpful, overall a good experience, our room didn't have a minibar nor a kettle for tea, perhaps a standard in DE, but it was clean and cosy.
