The hotel and the rooms felt a bit outdated and basic. The sauna wasn't operational on the date we stayed (although no operating hours show on the website or any notice of that was made prior). The curtains in the rooms weren't fully effective, and we actually had some light come in during the entire night from the outside street.

The location is super-central, literally across the street from the Mainz central train station, and minutes' walk distance from the historic city center and most landmarks. The staff were very nice and helpful.

They have two big nice windows in the room that look straight to the Hbf but NO curtains that protect from the light that comes from outside. It is almost impossible to continue to sleep when dawn comes. I just cannot understand they invested on refurbishing the room but left this HUGE detail out. Fix this and I will go back for sure.

We needed a hotel by the main train station. This one is literally in front of it. I had seen the pictures and was afraid it would be a bit too outdated. It is considered a 3 superior star hotel which sometimes is a tricky classification... but it ended being a very nice surprise. The big room 12 (and some of the other ones) has been recently refurbished and I'm glad to say with no carpet on the floor! The bathroom was also a very comfortable size with a huge sink, bath/shower. Everything worked perfectly. I would only make a remark about the towels that were way too old. The white sheets though were new and very clean. Breakfast was good. Not fancy, but has the basics one needs when on the run. The employees were nice. Special mention to the young man who was on duty the day we left. It is a small hotel, fully booked. I compared the room with the one ate AC Marriot and was very happy we chose this one!

Nothing really, the hotel is perfect if you would like to be close to the station. I highly recommend it.

The location is perfect, literally in front of the Haupbahnhof, a 1 minute walk. The staff was very friendly, room cosy, quiet and clean. You also get a beautiful view of the train station, if you are into this. Would definitely stay again!

The area is a bit dodgy around the train station. It's a 15-20min walk to the city center.

The hotel is just opposite the train station, so extremely convenient when you're flying in via Frankfurt, connect to the train and get there. No need for a taxi. The room was clean and rather quiet, on the 6th floor (elevator only goes onto the 5th floor). Cheap.

Leaves things to be desired - the bathroom does have a air outlet but no ventilator. Reception guy asking whether you are a hotel guest when coming in (find it weird for a decent hotel).

Location is great - just across the train station. Close to old town too. Train station offers variety of bakery/coffee options in case you do not book breakfast.

The shower foam/shampoo bottle is hard to squeeze. There is no kettle in my room.

Directly opposite of Mainz train station. Very convenient to travel in and out of Mainz. Staff is helpful in providing information on to-do activities in Mainz.

Really nothing: the train strike slowed down travel but that was not due to the hotel, and was not overly inconvenient.

Perfect respite from the fair in Frankfurt: clean and cozy with welcoming staff, a great breakfast, excellent wifi, and directly across the street from the train station. Will return!

Though they granted my request for a bathtub actually, they had not answered my request before my stay.

The breakfast was excellent, including Ronnefeldt tea. The room was clean and quiet despite the proximity to the train station. My room had a bathtub.

The breakfast was quite good, for German standards. Also, the room was bright and spacious. The hotel is clearly underrated, it should be a 4-star hotel.

Very good hotel directly opposite the central station in Mainz and within walking distance of the Altstadt. The room was a decent size, as was the bathroom, and everything was fine. The breakfast buffet included the usual items for breakfast in Germany and was good. In short, a hotel I'll look for when visiting Mainz again.

Typical business type hotel opposite the main railway station of Mainz. Lots of transport into the town centre. Many restaurants nearby as well as food outlets in the station. room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very welcoming. Excellent buffet style breakfast.
