Nothing, it was all perfect

The whole building and deco are beautiful. The area is central and plenty of shops, bars, restaurants. The staff is always helpful and polite. Rooms are comfortable and so is the bed. Temperature in the room can be controlled and I didn’t hear any disturbances during the night

Bars and restaurants too pretentious, and one of the bars allowed smoking. Nowhere for a simple quiet drink.

The restaurant at the hotel was really great. We enjoy a wonderful and tasty dinner. Compliments to the chef. They had their own wine so really great red wine. For the bartender of the Bar Bleu in the hotel compliments because the cockatils made by him were amazing. What to say more, the position of the hotel , to the staff and the food really great. We will come again, for sure 😊

Not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Also the bar can get a bit crowded.

The hotel is comfortable and clean, with friendly, polite and efficient staff, and they serve an excellent breakfast. Discretely located within easy walking distance of Hamburg's main shopping areas.

Well we didn't have a bathtub in our junior suite, but that's ok, not a big deal. I have mixed thoughts about the sit-down breakfast. Yes it was delicious and classy, but maybe I'm just the type of guy who wants a buffet and tons and tons of bacon on my plate... But I'm sure other people will like it.

We celebrate my wife's birthday here and had the junior suite. It was worth it. They are masters at the "small little things" and "small touches" that make your stay more special. Things like having toothbrush, special toothpaste, sandals and bathrobes... or having a small cake and hand-written birthday card from the front-desk... or having all the drinks free in their mini-bar... or having a free uni-sex perfume bottle in the room... or having a nice children's blanket with animal prints for our 3-year old daughter in her crib (other hotels will just reuse adult blankets for this purpose)... or having a separate trash bin for diapers.... all these "little things" add up to make the stay a notch above our other hotel experiences. Definitely the best hotel we've stayed in in Hamburg. The staff are also extra nice, from reception, to their "big boss" who we casually encountered in the elevator, to their cleaning staff, etc. Much nicer than in the other hotels we've stayed in. They should keep it up!

The Tortue is very stylish, clean and still functional and cozy. The staff was incredibly friendly and the breakfast tasty. The Tortue is really pricey so my expectations were high, but apart from the lack of a spa they were matched by the hotel.

In the room, there is a tablet to do al the services with, like reception and roomservice, that tablet was reaeaeally slow. We could hardly work with it. They should look into that.

The breakfast was good, room was nice. It is in a Wonderfull spot. Staff was nice, and the bar downstairs was really nice as well. Love also the little amenities.

The lobby was very dark, it was like a nightclub. The tv and switches in room was difficult to operate. Pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The air con and heat was not functional and cannot adjust individually

1. The room can be a somewhat noisy when it faces the main road 2. The rooms are on the smaller side but it's spacious enough 3. Only Valet parking is available yet this is not something out of the ordinary in a city like Hamburg 4. REALLY -- there isn't really anything 'wrong' with TORTUE and we will stay there again and again :)

1. The bed is super comfortable! 2. The breakfast is amazing!! It's definitely worth it to book it along with the room! 3. The location is fabulously located in one of the prettiest parts of downtown Hamburg! 4. Public transportation is near by 5. Super Bonus: JIN GUI (asian inspired restaurant) is FANTASTIC!
