Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe location isn't somewhere I would recommend for children or elderly guests. But the hotel itself is a quiet oasis among a bustling and busy city.
Breakfast was lovely. The staff was very welcoming and kind. The location was very close to the main train station, which made day trips to cities outside Frankfurt very accessible.

United StatesThe neighborhood around the hotel is a bit rough. Lots of transients and street people around. I would avoid walking here late at night
Perfect for an overnight stay in downtown Frankfurt with a flight out of FRA the next morning. Airport hotels are really isolated and if they have free airport shuttles, they suck. From the train station (5 min walk from the hotel) you can catch a S-Bahn every 15 min for a 20 min ride. Close enough to Oldtown (Roemer, Main, Altstadt) to walk, many interesting restaurants right around the hotel. Modern rooms with everything you need, even a small fridge and very comfy beds. My room was very small, so this is best for a stay where you don't plan to spend much time in the room. Excellent windows, even though the street is very busy you do not hear anything inside. AC works well. Breakfast is excellent

NetherlandsIt's a bit expensive, but what isn't nowadays? The bed was ok. I personally don't like mattresses with springs in them, but it was good enough to sleep 8h on.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, tidy and has more than enough space. The hotel is really close to the train station, which is great. It's located in the city with just about everything you need around the corner.

United StatesThe location is pretty seedy and as soon as I walked into the streets, I was grateful my husband was with me.
The closeness to the train station was a big plus. The front desk staff and breakfast were good.

Hong KongNot-so-silent night. The room though on the 4th floor but facing the main street with tramway that the tram service run until after mid-night and people were gathering downstair with a lot of loud noises well after 1 am. And at around 5.30 am, people started working downstair again and the tram resumed its services before 6 am.
The location was convenient to the Central station. The shower room though was small but bright and the shower worked comfortably well with hot water; the floor was designed as uneven that made it not slippery.

United StatesMy only negative observation is that at check in I was suffering from moderate to severe sciatica (age 67). Our room was on the 2nd floor. The elevator for our floor basically stopped on level 1.5 or between the two floors. One had to then carry one's luggage up 7 or 8 steps to reach the 2nd floor. Room cost was reasonable.
Breakfast was very good! Many options for a wonderful meal. Location was very convenient as the train station was close by.

AustraliaThe fact the hotel is so close to the HBF was awesome and the main reason we picked it, however it’s in a terrible part of town with very undesirable people. As 2 woman traveling, we didn’t feel safe being in that area.
The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was plentiful & how quick you can get to the HBF was great.

United StatesHad a twin room. Small but very clean and the beds were comfortable. Double glazed windows kept street noise out. Bathroom was small but very adequate and shower water pressure was great! Super convenient to the train station. The neighborhood may not look the best but I’ve stayed around this area many times and have always felt safe. Good value for one night stay before leaving early for the airport in the morning.
