As it rained a lot and we couldn't go outside as much as we would have liked, we missed having a lounge where we could have stayed next to our rooms to do some reading, meet other people, look out the window, talk to each other (we were a little group), play board games etc. The restaurant was not possible because the staff had to prepare it for the next meal and although they didn't want to push us out, we felt like we were disturbing them in their daily routine. The bar was the only other option but not really a nice place for the above activities. In the evenings the pianist or other music was so loud that we couldn't have a conversation, and going to other restaurants or pubs in Titisee wasn't really an option either as the place is very small and the offer is limited accordingly. We travelled by train from Switzerland and missed a clear description on the website of which stop to get off at (Neustadt or Titisee station?). "Titisee-Neustadt" is a bit confusing if you have no local knowledge. The hotel was fully booked and the spa area was correspondingly busy. We had problems booking treatments as the working hours in the spa were rather limited. At peak times, such as now at the turn of the year or when it rains a lot and the house is fully booked, it would be wonderful to extend the treatment times or adapt them flexibly, even for an extra charge.

All the services offered were excellent and very professional. The staff were generally very friendly and attentive. Although it is a large house and was fully booked, it was rather quiet and relaxed, especially in the corridors and at night. We loved the evening menus, the small "Hirschstube" and the accommodating service.

The buffet breakfast provided a wide choice of food ranging from fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, cold cuts of meats, smoked salmon, a range of cheeses, salad, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, breads, rolls and jams.the location right on the Titisee take is breathtaking. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The room was perfect and included a nespresso machine.

No one told me about the amenities at the hotel upon arrival. Apparently, if you only speak English make sure yo ask for the Q card card that if you scan you can see what the hotel offers. My room was 319 and it gave great privacy, but with the fence I really had no view sitting outside on terrace and in my room, unless I was standing. Plus, the bugs were bad, so I didn’t want to leave my door open, but did not see how to turn on AC.

Location was stunning! The room was exceptionally clean! The finishes and decor were outstanding! All the food I had at the restaurant was amazing and I had exceptional service at the restaurant. The views were great

The room wasn’t sound proof but not a super big deal. The room was well appointed with great furnishings but set up where you could only watch televisions from the couch. No paper or pen available. The bathtub was so small I’m not quite sure why they even tried…big step into tub and being a tall person my head almost touched the ceiling.

Breakfast was fantastic. Hotel and rooms were well cared for and maintained. Absolutely clean and spotless. Beautiful views and fantastic location. Wifi worked great. Separate door into the bidet and toilet was a nice touch.

We stayed in a suite and even there the master bed had 2 twin mattresses put together, rather than a king mattress. It should have stated upfront that this is a twin room then

Not kids‘ friendly, no children around, no playground, toys, books, …, no kids activity or kids favourit foods in restaurant. Hotel was a good fit for seniors. For breakfast, you were not allowed to choose your table so you could miss the lake view. For such 4star hotels, breakfast could have higher quality.
