Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeLocation of the hotel was abit far from city but there's was a bus stop less than10min away. There was not enough iron to lend out for guest.
Greet by friendly staff when arrived. The room and bathroom was modern and clean. There was a very nice cafe in the hotel and the food was great. I really like the vibe and theme of the hotel.

United KingdomThere is a lovely bakery in the lobby running until 1:00in the afternoon. I wish the bakery would be opened until late afternoon such as 6 or 7pm. :)
Really nice, eco-friendly and modern facilities. Our room was practical, comfy beds and the staff were lovely and very helpful.

NetherlandsThe mattress felt like insulated so I constantly woke up to role over to a cooler spot. There was a bit of damp smell so I opened the windows for a while. When I returned late at night the smell was back and might as well be coming from the central climate system. Too late for something to be done about it. In the weekends there is no direct bus connection to the city center.
Modern and nicely decorated rooms. Friendly staff.

JordanVery expensive relative to what they offer, no facilities no breakfast no in-room services (fridge, safe, coffee corner) no in-room items what so ever other than a pen and paper and costs as much as a 4 star hotel while being 2 star at best.
It was new and clean but that’s about it

United KingdomArrived after 10pm, as per my booking. The doors of the hotel were locked and you had to ring a number to get in then self serve your room key using a QR code. Like checking into a hostel. Not a good choice if your travelling and arriving late and tired

NetherlandsThe room/bathroom was not clean. Dust and hair were on the floor. I found a lot of hair in the shower. The first thing I had to do after arrival was cleaning.

NetherlandsAir conditioning is available but barely functions. Set to max fan speed & -3.0 degrees and the room remained the same temperature throughout the night. Rented 2 rooms and it was the same in both rooms. Lack of a mini fridge in the room.
The building was clean, new, and well-maintained. The staff was amazing. Checking in and out was a breeze. The water pressure was excellent. The room was very nice. Street parking is free, and there is also a parking complex within walking distance (3 minutes walk from the hotel).

NetherlandsWe were allergic to the detergent used to wash the sheets, so we itched all night and couldn't sleep. The staff was kind enough to wash our sheets without detergent. It helped but not enough. We had to cut our stay short, check out and go for another hotel.
The bakery inside the building was great. The rooms were nice and there's a spacious rooftop terrace. We didn't try the pool table but it's a good feature.

NetherlandsIn the morning we discovered the shower drain was clogged. It overflowed in the first minute, water flowing from the bathroom to the room, so we couldnt shower. We told the man at checkout, he said we were fine, and could checkout. No sorry, or anything. At insisting about the problem he said he would call housekeeping, did that during our conversation and while on the phone, told us we could go. Very weird way to handle that.
Nice location, and the very friendly and helpful two women at checkin gave us a room upgrade and helped us with information about busses and called us a taxi.

NetherlandsThe new construction somehow passed the vibrations of guests walking down corridors etc. through effortlessly: an annoying discomfort on Saturday night. Otherwise a very nicely designed and equipped hotel.
The hotel is a brand new construction behind a 1950s tobacco factory. It is therefore nearly fully automated and clean. The location is somewhat peripheral but attempting an urban renewal strategy. There is a regular bus service into livelier parts of Neustad and city center.
