Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicIf we order a room with a kitchenette, it is not equipped, there are no cups nor spoons. We had to order extra for equipment and pay, but not much. It is a shame that the hotel does not have an agreement with the aquapark so that its guests who buy a day pass can leave the aquapark and come back without having to buy new tickets.
This hotel is near the aquapark which is the main attraction. But we saw a lot of bike paths in the area, so bike trips can be a good way to diversify a stay. The room was quiet and the breakfast really rich.

United KingdomIt would have been great to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There are no shops nearby so it would have been nice to be able to make a drink when we arrived.
Very close to Therme and 10 mins walk from the s-bahn connecting to Erding and Munich. Room was nice and breakfast was great. The staff were very helpful and stored our luggage while we visited Therme.

AustriaUnfortunately the sewage had clogged up during our stay there and there was a stink as you entered the Gastehaus. Also there was no safe in the room!
The staff were friendly it was very near to the Therma Erding. The breakfast buffet was very small and not many options for vegetarians

United StatesThere was no air flow in the apartment and the temperature was hot. Not the hotels fault, but a fan or something to move the air would be nice. Also, no kitchen ware in the room, which was expected for an apartment rental.
Gastehaus is Close to the Therme and lots of good fun in the water there. We went to Erding market platz from the bus right out front! Great spot to enjoy a new town and fun in the sun!

United StatesThis was my 3rd stay here. The room is nice, comfortable and clean. But the main reason I stay is that it is an inexpensive alternative to staying in Munich for Oktoberfest, and going to Therme Erding the day after. It is about a 10 minute walk on a paved path through a field to the S-bahn.

AustriaMinor thing - the pillows on our bed had a different density to them which made it very uncomfortable for my husband to sleep at night as he felt there wasn't a pillow at all. Mine, meanwhile, was nicely filled. It would've been nice to provide beds with the same type of pillows.
The close proximity to Therme Erding, the friendly and helpful staff and the yummy breakfast :)

United Kingdomthe one and only lift was at the end of one the wings of the hotel and my room was at the other end on the third floor. the information says you can get a kitchen pack on request from reception which is true however they don’t tell you the cost is €5 per day which cost me €30 for my 6 days, they ask you to pay when you arrive not when checking out which is very unusual. the cost was very expensive for what it was over £1000 for a 7 night stay, the plug sockets were a nightmare, when I arrived I counted 11 plug sockets in the room and only 1 was useable the others seemed to me to blanked off, when I mentioned to the reception next day they said you had to put the two prongs into the socket and twist it because it’s a safety feature to stop children poking their fingers in the socket which I have never come across in any other hotels I have stayed at in Germany, it’s very unusual. unfortunately I travelled during the week when Her Majesty the Queen was lying in state in the U.K. so I wanted to follow the events on Tv, I was pleased to see that BBC world and CNN was in the Television menu but I came up as Kein Signal, the only channels in English was France 24 from Paris, Al Jazeera and sky news, thank god for sky news which I ended up watching most of the time, the kitchen consisted of two hot plates, a refrigerator and a very small sink to wash up any dirty plates, cups etc, but no plug, I managed to acquire a plug for the sink after asking at reception but couldn’t get a plug for the basin in the bathroom which made have a wet shave difficult. in the kitchen kit there was no toaster, no electric kettle but I managed to get a kettle from reception in the end and a bug coffee machine which I couldn’t use because I didn’t have the coffee pods to fit it.
the location was very good next to the massive Therme Erding, spa, the rooms were kept clean, the staff were helpful and there was a balcony where you could look out. the cupboards and wardrobe were good and lit up when you opened the door. there was a breakfast room near the reception which had a good selection of food however I thought that 16 Euros per day was a bit too expensive
